The context menu shows up when I right click. Very annoying.

Though big subreddits are too big for their own good, it has its unique value. It's serves as a battleground for people with agendas and a bellwether to what topics are hot right now in. The big subs as a collective are similar to what Digg was, but on a larger scale. It's more about influencing people than engaging them. I remember when almost 90% of Digg's frontage was submitted by MrBabyMan and there were complaints about that. The one-man show is impossible now on reddit, but groups with the similar agendas where it's at now on reddit.

Wordpress.com does this. Are those sites at risk too?

I've tried a lot of note-taking apps, I've settled on Simplenote. It's lightweight, syncs, and searchable. It's text-only. I find linking media and other stuff is just cumbersome, and takes a lot of effort to organize when all I want is a quick way to jot down notes. https://simplenote.com/

There's no "right move" in this situation. If they delayed the recall and it was proved the battery was the culprit, then then there will be reports that the company knew it was the battery weeks earlier and didn't do anything about it. They had a tough choice to make, and they took the option that puts the consumers' well-being first, and that is the right choice in my opinion. It might be the right choice financially, but not everything is about money.

Suicidal thoughts as a disease may not only be solely genetic, but may have something to do with lifestyle/environment, like other diseases. I wonder how many starving Africans actually have this disease.

I still use FF, but switch to Chrome for JS heavy stuff. Even amazon.com is laggy on FF. The things that's stopping me from switching to Chrome full-time is the Extensions that FF has. I can really customize things to work exactly the way I want. My biggest gripe about Chrome is that the download bar at the bottom doesn't go away when you finish a download.

The first thing that came to mind was another good name would be "Maid in New York". But "Get Maid" is good too. Plus you don't have to change the name when you expand. Or maybe change it to "Maid in USA".

The way I see it, what went wrong with Digg was the amount of influence "superstar" users had on the stories that make the front page. The fact that they kept and displayed the "ranking" of users just shows how this culture of superstardom is ingrained within Digg mechanics itself. It may not have effected the traffic or growth at the time, but it did affect the quality of stories highlighted. Digg knew its system was being gamed and I think that is what pushed them to make the changes they did on v4 (apart from the money), where publishers were given priority over individually submitted stories.

Is there a way to save all the stuff you on your clipboard offline? I am looking for something like this, but in a local software kind of way, not a webapp. These new startups' survivability are very unpredictable and I don't want to lose all my info if the site goes bust. It's the top thing that's stopping me from committing myself to your site.

If it's only thought-recording, then it's fine. But the reason I wanted to blog in the first place was to make a kind of online notebook where code snippets, useful videos/audio, progress history etc. are online and easily searchable. Kind of an personal online reference, but accessible by the public. It's just too much work. It's a good idea for a startup though - User friendly online notebook.

I tried blogging once, but what put me off was the amount work and time it took to make it look good. You've got to format it so that it's readable to persons other than yourself. You need to provide links to relevant/related sites (which sometimes you have search for it because you didn't bookmark it, which you didn't think you needed to because you didn't know you were going to use it in your blog). Embedding stuff is such a pain in my experience. If it's a video, you got to get the size right, the default is always either too big or too small. And I have yet to find a hassle-free way to embed code, especially from the free blogging sites. With images, you need to resize them so that there's a small one inside the post itself, which links to the bigger one when clicked. All that time spent on making it look good is better used to actually do my work, in my opinion.

I think Adobe is working on something like this. Though Dreamweaver leaves much to be desired, I think what their working on is something completely different. Plus, the announcement that they're committed to HTML5 is more or less a hint of this. My guess is that it's something like Adobe Flash Builder, but instead of Flash, it outputs HTML5.

I check it every day, but I spend about 1 minute each day. I just go there to see what my friends are saying, then move on to other things.

I thought the "feedback" button is for giving feedback back to WebEngage. This is a demo, and I thought I was supposed to give feedback on how I like the service after experiencing the demo. It really needs an about page or something explaining what it is.

What does it do? There's no about page. I keyed in the reddit url and it showed reddit. After spending 15 seconds on the site, my conclusion is that it is pointless.

If you have the time, offer the person taking care of the sick person to take over the taking care for a few hours or days.

I took care of my mother when she was sick and none of my 3 older brothers offered to take over the duty of caring for her. It was like my home was the hospital for 3 months and not even one of them offered to take care of her for one night. I developed this deep bitter feeling towards them during that time.

I understand if they have things to take care of but not even 1 night?! It still pisses me off thinking back. For all I care, all of her children have an equal responsibility to take care of her. It was like I had to put my life on hold so that they can continue living their lives like nothing's happening.

The tablet market is too young to be regarded as miniscule. Software-wise, we have only started to think about touch input seriously. There still so much that can be done.

I'm trying to save the image to my computer. It says it saved my image, but at the same time it says I need to login to Facebook to save it. I've already logged in. But the same thing happens. Where on my computer does it save my image.

As a Muslim, that was my first reaction. It seems very odd. I can imagine African rebels, or South American rebels getting into the tattoo thing, but in Afghanistan, it just seems out of place. They ban the Beatles haircut, but tattoos are okay?

When at level 4, I try to have the conversation at the door with me inside and the other person outside. Once, I was really tired, but the other person really kept going on and on, I gave several hints that I've had enough, but he just didn't get it, I even said "Okay, It's nice talking, but I need to sleep now." He answered that he understood, but for some reason understanding it didn't make him stop talking. I really didn't care anymore so I just closed the door slowly while still he was talking. And left it at that. My roomate who was watching said I was rude, I said I know and we both laughed.

Digg users are either power users who control what gets on there; or geeks who think they are the "cool" geeks, the ones that gets laid.
