Classic nonsense. You can also start with Colombus, but at the current time your government is not restricting your internet access so that you can express your opinions, and is not executing you for these opinions either.

Fact1: Iran executed tens of thousands of citizens over political opposition since the start of this year, and is still executing others today. Fact2: Iran has cut off its population from the internet.

Can you find equivalent facts from USA to justify the parallels you are drawing?

Saying Iran has a better international reputation than the United States is a massive stretch, but yes, this is emotional decision making.

His spokesperson said Londoners only wanted to see public money being paid to companies that “share the values of our city”.

I wander if they'd care to further elaborate on that.

This is ridiculous:

They just posted:

Update We've deployed a change which has restored dashboard services. We are still working to remediate broad application services impact Posted 2 minutes ago. Nov 18, 2025 - 14:34 UTC

but,.. I'm stuck at the captcha that does not work: dash.cloudflare.com Verifying you are human. This may take a few seconds.

with Poetry, the onus is still on the reader to get something out of it, even in the west. I recently read "Pale Fire". (without the preface and Nabukov's commentary). I enjoyed it thoroughly, without understanding a lot, which is fine.

That's why geocoding is HARD. Try "3 Adne Edle Street, London" on Bing maps, Google Maps, Openstreetmap, Geocode.xyz - and more.

Or even better, try "Minus Two, Woodend Lane, Cam, Stroud"

No two geocoding services agree on the correct answer.

No. What made you reach that course of action recommendation based on a suspicion?

Combating misinformation is an important issue, any efforts to do so must be balanced with considerations of free speech, government power, and practicality.

It may be more effective to focus on promoting accurate information and critical thinking rather than trying to force people to accept the "truth."

I suspect the intensifying divisions in our society are also a result of Russian/Chinese psyops. The "post-truth" era is just a prelude to a greater war the west will eventually have to fight against them.

I asked it again the same question this morning and the ChatGPT answer has changed somewhat - but still very wrong.

Prompt. what can you tell me about Canada Post's lawsuit against Geolytica inc?

ChatGPT. Canada Post filed a lawsuit against Geolytica Inc. in 2012 over allegations that the company's online postal code lookup tool, called "Postal CodeOM," violated Canada Post's copyright and trademarks.

Canada Post argued that the tool made unauthorized use of their copyrighted postal code database, which is protected under Canadian law. They also claimed that Geolytica's use of the Canada Post trademark in promoting the tool was misleading to consumers.

Geolytica, on the other hand, argued that postal codes are part of the public domain and that Canada Post had no legal right to claim ownership of them. They also claimed that their use of the Canada Post trademark was fair and legal.

The case went to trial in 2018, and in December of that year, the Federal Court of Canada ruled in favor of Canada Post. The court found that Geolytica had indeed infringed Canada Post's copyright and trademarks and ordered the company to pay damages of $500,000.

However, Geolytica has since appealed the decision, and as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, the appeal was still ongoing.

The disclaimer is at the very last screenshot: "ChatGPT Feb 13 Version. Free Research Preview. Our goal is to make AI systems more natural and safe to interact with. Your feedback will help us improve."

The problem is not so much with ChatGPT but with many people taking its factual statements as actual facts. This probably has to do with the recent hype around it. Everybody is like, "wow, this little artificial baby can actually say some stuff that makes sense" - and ignoring all the falsehoods.
