Is it not a clone of Puzzmo's 'Ribbit' game?

UI drag/drop is a little clunky at times, but I love the overall vibe. Doesn’t really feel like a daily game, though. Feels more like it is being shoehorned into that model rather than just being a solo Game Game (like Tetris).

What I mean is as a player, I'll likely not notice the difference in a Friday puzzle vs a Thursday puzzle. And I can replay to my hearts content anyway. So why not simply randomize the board on each replay? Which I'd do anyway.

I'll be trying this out on my 500Mhz Powerbook Pismo running 9.2 tonight!

There are several phones that fit the description, but I was thinking specifically of the Sonim XP3plus 5G.

The skepticism isn't around the concept (for some) - it's the bonkers $500 price tag when you can go get a 5G military grade waterproof flip phone with a very robust removable battery and much more impressive tech/stats for $200.

My wife and I got a flip phone for our daughter when she was in elementary school. It was inexpensive, allowed her to text us when on the school bus - gave us the connection we all needed. About a year later the pull of a phone that could run Spotify won, but for that year the flip phone really was great. And cheap.

I'm not familiar with the OS on this phone, but it sounds interesting.

But $500? Really? DOA

Did this story really get flagged by some anti-Commodore Gen-Xer? Can't we bury the hatchet with Atarians by now? Lord have mercy.

That said, I'm THRILLED they claimed to "fix" the border radius snafu of Tahoe. Go ahead and push that now with the next Security fix. We won't mind at all.

Wouldn't take very many at all, we've now learned these past four years (and even the past 2 months). All you need are drones, that are pennies on the dollar cheaper than trillion-dollar militaries. Depending on the munition, a single bomb we drop on Iran could cost between $40,000 and a couple million dollars. Think of all the high-end drones you could buy instead.

Everything is changing. Including our influence.

Sometimes these interviews are done via a single email filled with questions and are not performed in-person, so the answer of a question isn't always carried forward into future questions, which can seem awkward from afar.

The rarest possible choice for Amiga (Amiga UNIX) represented. Curious thing to do. Fun project site either way.

Saw them last year in Seattle. One of those bands I never thought I'd get the chance to see (I'm 54), but thanks to them they are still touring and making great music.

Remembering my college typewriter-use-by-quarters (coins) on a timer like being at the laundromat, I kind of love this.

At UT Arlington in the Stone Age we had a typewriter lab so folks without home computers with printers could still produce their papers typed, which was required. I had to get a roll of quarters ($10) to do a single paper. And the erase tape was always so used up it was useless.

It was one of the most sadistic things I remember about my college experience, trying to type on those crappy typewriter on a timer. With no errors. And I literally wrote it by hand before trying to transcribe it.

When I was in the Air Force in the early 1990s, we still used KC-135 "flying gas stations" that had been built during the cold war in the 1950s. While expensive to maintain they were far less expensive to fix than buying new and starting from scratch. With regular full maintenance checks in the hangars (wash them, inspect them with dental picks and flashlights, replace broken parts, etc.) we kept those planes in service and mission ready for decades.

There was an entire supply chain of every single part ready to go, with technical manuals for every maintenance task you can imagine. If we couldn't fix something, it would go to the jet lab or machinists or whatever.

The system in place is mind bogglingly good.
