Whilst I don't have time to really dive through all the sections, this seems weirdly click-baity and IBM-promoting for an academic article.

I didn't think "Attention > Convolution" was a prevalent myth, given how integral convolutions are to SOTA image classifiers and GANs (if anything, I believe attention is unde-utilised here and due to grow in usage a lot)

I totally agree that requiring PRs to have tests is a good way to solve this - it's what we've adopted after trying a few approaches

We had a little MySQL db, and both the data and the different systems consuming it grew quite rapidly, faster than we could get ahead of given company priorities. We have a read-replica for the BI dashboarding system, and this keeps our world relatively stable and reliable.

Their R1 hoody and climbing pants are the two items I've worn the most this year. Their design is great, and as these pants wear out, they'll fix them for me.

This area is a big deal - ML networks need to be much deeper and denser to provide human-level understanding, and training networks is currently a considerable bottleneck.

It's really quick to start using. It's like a mashup of Segment and Stripe, you just start pinging events and it starts getting you money.

I didn't find it a waste of time.

The answer is probably they spent around two days building this before demand grew left them zero time to improve infrastructure. Which is more or less good.
