If it is swarms of drones thats the risk. Couldn’t we have defensive drone swarms? Isn’t anduril working on drone submarine? Just trying to understand how we can tactically defeat this problem since politics doesn’t seem to be a solution here.

Hmm. I think he sliced it after he encapsulated it. Or that's my memory! So he had a "book" of cut acrylic sheets/layers of the object.

This is awesome! Reminds me of an artist that would encapsulate items like cameras into resin and then slice them with a water jet cutter creating a different version of an 'exploded view'. Can't find the link.

I think this assumption is wrong. By the time a “startup” in the US expands into Europe they are really not a “startup” anymore. They have a proven business model in the US and have raised 100Ms. So succeeding in Europe is not a fair comparison. When Airbnb expanded into Europe in 2011 they had raised 120m and acquired a company in Germany to kickstart the expansion.

I agree. I’ve been looking for a “smart” watch strap or strap clasp I can use with my vintage seiko watch. I just want vibration alerts when very specific things happen on my phone. My wife is calling etc. Dont need all the features or display of a typical smart watch. Too distracting.

This is why I buy “commercial” appliances when I can. My speed queen washer and dryer each have two knobs and a start button. Thats all you need. I doubt I will need to ever replace them.

Using the aquarium chillers is really smart! Just need someone to mfg the mattress membrane covers.

Stability control vs Guidance control

There is a company that does this but senses direct from your circuit breaker panel. The uses FFT plus algos to determine individual devices on each circuit from their unique electrical signature. Called Sense I believe. I’ve never used it.

I use an Alphasmart Neo for journaling. Recently modded it with an ESP32 for wireless file transfer. I love it!

Trail cameras are much larger. So if size is a restraint this could be better, but valid point. Most trail cameras use 8x AA batteries!
