I also haven't read something about authentication and validation. You can't compare a database without auth with firebase.

yes code aster is great. I work on a cloud based FEA SaaS based on code aster. Besides a GUI it will also have an english API.

Just want to say that all the Angular React comparisons are dumb. It is comparing apples to oranges. Angular is a bigger framework for developing more complex stuff. Therefore of course there is a steeper learning curve. Here are comments like "react is so much more easier because it is just functions". Why not just using vanilla js because you have nothing to learn then? Or just use binary code? It is just 0 and 1.

I like cloud firestore and firebase platform very much. It would be nice to have more query features. A simple "!=" is not possible.

Also an automatic backup would be nice (and can't be that hard to offer?).

Firestore is very limited here. I trigger a cloud function on every new entry and replicate my data in bigquery. This solves the problem for me.

Sure people will buy self-driving cars. People want to own things for themself. If a car has a higher value with this feature even more people want to have a car. Consumers don't think economically.

I came from C# WPF/Winforms and have to say that Angular 2 is more familiar to me than react.

Of course the whole web stack is a new thing. Angular makes web app development much more productive.

I also had a painless upgrade from 2.4 to 4.0.

With angular-cli ng2 is now usable and in my opinion the best Javacript/typescript framework.

I come from Aachen. I don't think that people commute from here or colognen to Prüm. It's too far away for daily commute. This could change with fully autonomous cars ;)

don't forget that there are strong cooperations and they know their talents better than outsiders. They know who is how much worth.

I also like firebase. Unfortunately the updates are all for mobile development and not for the web. Also there is no support for angular universal in angularfire?
