The problem is that the copyright period is too long, and it is not dependent on whether or not the copies are still being actively sold.

It is a bit funny. When I started with Python ~18 years ago, the team lead on that project liked this framework "Nevow". It wad plugged into Twisted. Completely async, IIRC JS could have been built in, too. Some ideas are really not new under the sun.
Thanks for the wave of nostalgia.
Let's say a subscription costs $10. Why not charge $14.29 through app store and $10 through online registration? With both logins acceptable in the login form... If Apple users want to pay more for the privilege of paying through Apple, why not let them?
It's hard for me to send my sympathies to you - my relatives are either hiding in bomb shelters, or fighting your countrymen in the east and in the south. They are all Russian speaking people who hate Russia and everything Russia stands for with passion these days. Anyway, please accept my sympathies, and find strength in yourself to do more.
Something similar, albeit not as severe happened to me, also as a result of a bicycle-related head injury.
I was on my way back home in Montreal. I consider English to be my second language. I have two mother tongues - Ukrainian and Russian. And, due to living in Montreal, I had passable French. So I lost ability to speak or understand French for a few days. After I re-gained it, it became visibly worse. Also I had short term amnesia - didn't know who I was, where I lived or where I was going from/to. Luckily, most of the things came back to me within the next few hours or days.
Brain is a bizarre device...
I like how it rhymes.
Yep, can't see it... Montreal, Canada.
Nice try, KGB!
In this story, Russia is the only one to be despised.
If it's 3 pounds per minute, it's a bit too expensive. If it's 3 pence per minute, it's probably too cheap.
