Of course I have. I need to keep $3000+ in my checking account. Either way I'm paying for the account either by lending them the $3000 or by a $15 a month fee. Either way I lose out especially since I don't think I'm getting any value from my bank. I'm planning on switching banks.

Agreed. Nothing will happen to the music. Musicians will use a different service. No need to back everything up. The musicians already have the files which will be easily uploaded to a different website. And it will most likely be bandcamp.

The main issue with bluetooth is latency.

I actually started working on a modern take of Soundflower. Soundflower doesn't work on the latest versions of macOS without a little TLC. I've managed to create up to 512 channels with no added latency and next to no cpu usage. 512 is overkill but is useful for me.

Haven't messed around with audio on iOS much. AudioKit is a nice swift framework that I've contributed to a few times. Worth checking that out.

As a composer, this title really confused me.

From what I remember from the book it was pretty clear what Deckard is. But I agree, I liked the movie ending.

I've always loved Dystopian novels. Even in the late 90's when I was in high school I thought Brave New World and 1984 were awesome. I'm glad the trend is back.

Aside from a good read, I feel that dystopian fiction is an excellent political commentary and an great view into our future. Books that make me think are my favourite.

Obviously the more you work the you produce. From his graph the best productivity is less than 40 hours but he thinks 40 is a good trade off between production and productivity. I disagree. In my ideal world we would be working less and still earning a good wage. I hope to see that in my lifetime but probably unlikely.

I guess my opinion is that we should all be working less and earning a living wage. I feel that's the trend that must happen with all the automation taking place. And welcome UBI.

I think we should be looking at efficiency. If we can find a way to maximize the tradeoff between productivity and hours worked it would greatly benefit employers and employees.

I think your app looks nice and clean but I just don't see it making a foothold along with the plethora of midi apps available. The midi velocity seem to be your biggest differentiator from competitors but I'm not sure it's enough to gain traction.

Since it's an MVP you're working on I'm going to give you some insight that will hopefully help you out. I'm a composer who mostly works on film and tv. I'm also a hobbyist programmer so I usually end up making our own apps if needed. In the composer community we mostly use TouchOSC and Lemur but both of those apps haven't been updated recently. Lemur is pretty powerful but requires quite a bit of knowledge for non-tech oriented folks. If you'd be able to create interactive and dynamic midi/osc interface like people do with Lemur but much more user friendly I think you'd have an audience.

Yeah I was wondering about that too. From my brief testing 3d touch senses the pressure after the initial touch. Not sure if it can sense the pressure of a tap. At least I didn't see an option like that in the API. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Interesting that you use motion sensors to create midi velocity. How accurate is that?

Any reason for not adding midi sliders and knobs too? Most MIDI apps include those and are used by many composers/musicians.

Dropbox has a great product. Before dropbox I had a special email account to store files to share with people. It was annoying if I needed to update stuff. Dropbox has without a doubt saved me time and money.

Exactly. How much money did those people start out with? If you're from a wealthy family and will work for the family business it doesn't matter what your GPA is.

Maybe one day. From my understanding we're not even close. We don't even have the computing power available to simulate a human brain. But yeah, scary applications. Minority Report anyone?
