Your company also spent all the years building a good product but the money bug bit you and you started charging exorbitant prices. The greed kicked in. Please don't get me wrong on this, making money is the reason why we live in a world which has all these amazing things. But it is a jungle and survival matters here.

You are so right about ageism. I am in my mid-forties and I am already feeling it. I have been rejected from positions because of my age. The feedback most of the time: I am not a good cultural fit.

Thank you for your kind words. Funny enough, today I got an email saying that the role I'm interested in is too junior for me. This was an AngularJS role I applied for. I think the perception is that Angular/React/LatestJS-Framework are for younger lot.
