I'm very happy I did my degree and think back on my time in university with fond memories. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute I was there, every lesson, essay and project, it is because of this I came out with a very high grade.

My lifelong career as a software developer has absolutely nothing to do with the subject of my degree, but it set me up in ways that I would have never learned on my own.

Things seem to be changing. We're with BT and would have had to pay a lot extra for a phone line.

Totally. My wife started baking as a hobby and almost everyone she spoke to said variations of "you could make a packet selling these".

So I made her website and she tried making a business out of it, ruined the hobby for her forever.

I have a cron job that updates my domain's records at digitalocean every hour via their API. But in practice my ISP only actually seems to issue a new IP if I restart my router.

I once made a website called bobswhitetrousers.com, absolutely noone ever visited.

I always just thought it was down to a unit of time relative to your age. So as a 1 year old a year represent your entire life, so seems really long. As a 40 year old a year is just a fraction of your life, so seems much less significant.
