The worst part of projects for me is finding cheap domain names that don't suck. That's also the most exciting part for me. So I built this using Codex, CloudFlare and Fastly so I could get back to making more stuff.

This seems reductionist. There's plenty of other reasons people are F1 fans: the spectacle, the wealth, the prestige. While speed is certainly a draw for a lot of fans, speed can be at odds with the some of these other traits. For instance I took my son to qualifying in Miami, and while we both thoroughly enjoyed it, qualifying is quite short, and not nearly as exciting as watching it on TV. My son's first comment was: they don't seem as fast in person.
We ended up kicking around the track for a few hours taking in all the sights and experiences and he enjoyed that a lot more.
I guess my comment is, speed is important, sure, but don't give me a plaintext website either. There's a balance between speed and entertainment value.
i rewrote a code base that i’ve been tinkering on for the last 2 years or so this weekend. a complete replatform, new tech stack, ui, infra, the whole nine yards. the rewrite took exactly 3 days, referenced the old code base, online documentation, github issues all without (mostly) ever leaving claude.
it completely blew my mind. i wrote maybe 10 lines of code manually. it’s going to eliminate jobs.

I'm also wondering if Find My will save the "find", including GPS coordinates at the time, and report it out when it has connection?
As an amateur I always thought a “marketplace” of reference designs with criteria you could filter on (through-hole, easy to hand solder, pitch, programming, etc.) would be a great resource. You could even make an attempt at compatibility (I2C, SPI, # of GPIO pins) with certain MCUs. If something works in theory, let me pay the designer and get the schematic and footprints in KiCAD or other EDA.
As a programmer there's something that really clicks in OpenSCAD for me. I've made a few designs that are super easy to adjust/repurpose based on variables. When Thingiverse's customizer worked well (well enough), it was a great tool.

You mention jsonlines in the escape hatch section, is there an escape hatch for jsonlines? I tried .jsonl but I get a 500 error.

This comment has completely broken my brain. That's exactly what a toolbox with drawers does, hides tools. Until you, the user, pull a drawer out and select the tool you need. Because you probably put the tools in their place you also have a high likelihood of knowing where they are. Maybe that's the paradigm? Show everything and let the user hide?
The opposite of hiding tools in a toolbox is littering your workspace with tools that you can see, but you soon run out of real estate with any decent amount of tools.
Maybe someone more versed in UniFi will step in but from what I've experienced throttling in UniFi exists across the entire network, not just WAN egress traffic. It severely limits it's usefulness.
I use my Bose QC35 II almost everyday and they store at least 5-7 different connections on the device. I have my phone, two PCs, Apple TV, iPad and MacBook Pro saved. You can slide and release the power button from the middle position to the forward position to jump to the next connection. Just stop on the one you want to connect to.
Like you mention it's hit or miss with the host device though. Sometimes it fails to connect and you need to connect from within the OS.

We have two and my wife is lucky enough to stay home with them (and not need daycare). One thing I didn't account for is the load parenting all day places on the spouse staying home. In a perfect world you could share the load 50/50 after work, but on good days it's probably 60% on me to parent in the evenings. A bad day can mean I'm 100% on parenting duty.
I'm sure everyone's mileage (and relationships) differ here.

I was comparison shopping something this week and wanted to check Best Buy, so I went to the app store. 100+ MB and needed to be on wifi to download. What in the Best Buy app could be over 100 MB?
On another note, I just went to check some of my apps and iOS 11 got rid of the size from that view. You now need to dive into each app to see the size.

Another problem is throttling and support. If you end up on the bad side of their spam filter it's tough to convince them to unblock you. They all have API's now that you can pay for access to, so they try and push you that route.
