You assume there are no other factors at play and those numbers wouldn't be worse if not for the ban. You also cherry-picked one example only. There are others that show immediate improvements in test results.

This is NOT how an intelligent person draws their conclusions. It's Facebook-level fear mongering, not worthy of HN.

I had OoenCode couple times try to access my home folder outside the project. When I refused and asked why, it said it was "a typo" .

I believe it, but still haven't experienced it with any other model to have it make a mistake in a path. It should treat it verbatim, not interpret, should it?

Question is whether other models would offer same optimization or was it exclusive to K3? Would have been much more interesting write-up.

With recent competition announcements, I am surprised you're surprised. In fact, I was half expecting they'd include it in their regular Pro subscription.

I am getting into the frontend dev and one thing that I don't understand is why people use bun in the first place? It's not much better preforming, it's not much safer, it's still not 100% compliant. Some tests show it's actually slower than node. Why bother switching, then?

Every such "club" inevitably attracts a specific sort that badly want to join just for the sense of exclusivity and a chance to virtue-signal their member status. It's same thing with some hard-to-get-into torrent trackers — once in, people become poster-children for Stockholm syndrome and the mods really get off on their perceived power. It's also the same with expensive new sport car models that manufacturers sell to collectors.

My intuition says it's to do with Status Signaling theory .
