Why use chrome if you seek privacy?

I search using ixquick.com because of their good privacy measures and they searh using post.

They have a button on their website that adds it to you list of search engines in chrome (chromium in my case), so it definitely can be done.

EDIT: it turns out that ixquick switches to a different URL and uses get instead of post for this, so forget what I said.

PS: the opera urlbar inline search has post support.

to compare zuck and roark like this is quite ridiculous. saying that we need less privacy in our society is an opinion and if you so please give up your privacy. but to be zuck and fool people into giving it up is quite another thing. it not only attacks our right to privacy but also our right to choose.

Out of all the "free software" propaganda that we get out there from the hardcore GNU side, this puts things in a realistic perspective with rational arguments that you do not normally get.

there have been enough reasons for people to protest against south park, and they have, but never do they go as far as censoring characters except when muhammad is concerned. (to be fair, they do censor words that they consider extreme profanity [on occasion])

I feel as if Songbird has reached that stage. I guess it's personal preference thing, but I am really impressed with the recent Songbird releases (even though they have been infrequent).

it looks like the top i7 macbook is using the Intel Core i7-620M processor. the two i5 models are the Intel Core i5-520M (2.4GHz) and the Intel Core i5-540M (2.53GHz).

the wikipedia article on the i5's show that the mobile i5's are dual core while the desktop i5's are quad.

when using jquery and other google hosted frameworks, i tend to use them from google CDN because a lot of the time not only is it faster, but it tends to be faster for traffic from all over the place. i have a site hosted in hong kong and most of the traffic is from japan, africa, and south america, so obviously the performance will differ for different users. but when i use jquery from google CDN, the performance tends to be similar across users.

Firstly, I have no control over the server. In fact I've been trying to get them to install Python on there for me but I can't even get that.

I understand why loading the page would be faster if it was all in one file. Also, I realise that this would not allow for the dynamic page to be cached properly for future use, but I have tested and the effects of the lack of caching are minimal.

So the question is what are the downsides of doing it this way?

I'm rather surprised by this article, mostly because I basically have the opposite opinion about Japan. My theory is that I was born in Japan and lived there for most of my life and so for me this is all just how life works. More importantly, from a Japanese perspective, this is how we enjoy life.

It externally seems that I should have a similar opinion of Japan as him because I am not Japanese and I seem to have had similar experiences. Yet my exposure to the culture from birth leaves me taking for granted a lot of what he fights.

When I first came to Canada to study in university I had grudges toward the culture and way of life and I hadn't noticed until now why that was. It was because my perception of "how things work" was challenged.
