This is the correct answer, routing between subnets is how it’s suppose to work. I think there are some edge cases like DR where it seems like stretching L2 might sound like a good idea, but it practice it gets messy fast.
I think the tech stack is interesting, don’t agree with OP tasteless choices here (hitler basically) and still, think the work is implemented well -especially iMessage integration.

I’m wondering about how ethical it is to load down a resource in this way, open to opinions. There is a mention “I didn’t hammer down the servers” but what does that really even mean? The site isn’t being used as intended and just curious how other people feel about that.
The one thing I maybe missed, is there anything that can be done to reduce the risk of developing Age-Related Macular Degeneration?
They mentioned the cluster being used enterprise drives, I can see the desire to save money but agree, that is going to be one expensive mistake down the road.
I should also note personally for home cluster use, I learned quickly that used drives didn’t seem to make sense. Too much performance variability.

No, it’s there because the battery can’t hold enough charge for the ratio of vape liquid they put in it. So you get 2-3 full charges and it runs out of liquid.

I remember when someone adapted the Chromebook Pixel display as a standalone monitor [0]. I’m sure it made the rounds here. I was almost tempted to do it myself because, at the time, it was a nice 4:3 screen. I couldn’t , the Chromebook Pixel was too beautiful to hack up.

Yes I see what you mean, with hobbies sometimes better costs is equal to better quality (probably not in a linear sense). Records are not that, but ig there’s other examples like old cars that fit the same profile. Really the root question might be, what is better quality? There’s definitely a quality of experience with physical media that there isn’t an analog to in the digital world. I’m sure there are other examples on both sides.
This is an interesting point that I’ve seen play out as you described. It was the parents of an acquaintance of mine, and they did choose the downsize option because they were getting too old for the upkeep of a whole house and niceties it brings such as having the hotel like amenities of a doorman. Then there’s the point of choosing new vs. old stock, agreed there is a higher demand, thus it demands higher cost.
Sorry there’s nuance missing here, I might personally not have any records, but I understand how some people must enjoy it and I can’t judge them. This reads more like ‘not for me, not for thee’ syndrome.

WISP (wireless isp) operators have all sorts of neat directional gear that iirc is 900MHz because of the distance they can cover with it.
It’s hard to see the value of a wired network, but there are about a million. As other commenters have pointed out, most of the scenarios are more than one access point and thicker walls / building materials.
The thing is - and I tried finding out without success - that it’s likely an off the shelf either Realtek or Broadcom WiFi chipset in the PSP that Sony probably omitted features on for stability reasons. Sounds like maybe these folks made it happen :) amazing to see
I think they are way too small for like any comfortable typing, maybe not for very small hands perhaps.
I think this is the way, just don’t give it wifi access! Fun story, my sony has android tv and can play MKV files off a flash drive (eg. a non-streaming tv show), but the built in player is horrible (drops frames?). Turns out I was able to find the right version of VLC player and adb the apk over the Ethernet port! Really worked a treat.
This avoided connecting it to wifi, but I still got what I wanted out of it.
