Well to be fair, in my country (Denmark), that is mostly the case. For normal purchases, using cash is very much not the norm.

But paying a carpenter, cleaner or similar, who will give a lower rate (and not pay income tax and VAT), that is very much the norm (though socially frowned upon). Also drugs I guess.

For me it is good to find an honest discussion of a thing (e.g. tool, tv series) rather than whatever paid-for article or review which would otherwise appear first.

It reminds me of Onyxia in WoW, where the leading theory for a long time was that you needed Damage over time spells (DoTs) on her to prevent her from doing her damaging fire breaths, which would wipe the entire raid group. Turns out it was just random (confirmed by a developer long after), but it is interesting the meaning that can and will be assigned to random events. Probably the same mechanism that causes myths and eventually religion to form in real life.

My reasoning was p = mv. m drops (through various processes in a star emitting energi==mass) and since p is constant, v increases.
