It's worrisome you would ask a bunch of strangers what profession you should take up. We don't know you from Moses. We don't know if you like crossword puzzles, make your own maple syrup, or have a lisp. You need to write out a list of what you love to do then explore the possibilities.

For what it's worth, here is what I suggest: switch to a stand up desk for any computing tasks. I cobbled together an ugly ad hoc one and I could never go back.

Also, while you deliberate over what your new profession will be, get a job in retail or sales. The pay will suck but you'll be on your feet and interacting with human beings.

I wish you success!

Mother Theresa once said: "When I look upon the masses I can do nothing. When I look upon the one, I can do something."

Find someone to help. Help them. You have then changed the world for the better. Now do it again.

To make yourself more desirable to employers, I'd have personal projects that demonstrate your abilities.

I'm a freelance writer slash "creative". I've been that way for over five years. I also have creative projects and those have been generating revenue and opportunities for me.

It's not easy. I was homeless for several weeks about a year ago. Couldn't cover the rent. But I've done factory work for many years and I'd choose this any day.

Unfortunately, this scoring of comments and karma preys on my OCD and competitive personality.

However, until I get psychological therapy from a certified professional, I kindly ask you vote me up. Thanks.

I'll bet Firefox's plump user base has shriveled up like a raisin since starting this updating schedule to version 7. Using Firefox is annoying. Simply activating the browser becomes this big update/check your plugins song and dance production. Now many of the plugins don't work, and Firefox is still slower than Chrome or Opera.

I hope the new login feature makes Firefox worth using again!

I'd hustle and follow Seth Godin's formula first. It will tighten your pitch and increase your understanding on how people use your product. With this information, your Adwords campaigns will be so much more effective.

Add taxi drivers to the mix. I've got the theory hairdressers and taxi drivers have a better sense of the moods and attitudes of society than anyone, even politicians.

In aggregate, their opinions and predictions might be a peek around the corner of time.

I like your idea too (sorta) although I think you'll pivot into a matchmaking service in time.

I'm enthusiastically behind the ridesharing idea. It's ecologically intelligent, saves people money and the hassles of vehicle ownership, and with looming fuel price spikes/peak oil/economic uncertainty, I see it as a futureproof business.

Looks like you've also got a solid team in place too (the importance of this cannot be overstated).

Btw, I'm in the "potential user" camp, and will use your service when I've got a chance.

In short, this is a startup I can feel good about. Good luck!

As a solo founder myself, I just want to congratulate you on launching what looks like an interesting and promising business. I'm particularly impressed you got the domain name housefed.com. Is there a story behind that?

P.S. I'll definitely check you out when you get into Canada.

On my iPhone, it redirects to a mobile version login page. No option to register, or to see what your app is about.

Now I've got to get off my lazy ass and turn on my PC to even see what the hubbub is about.

Please consider giving mobile visitors an option.

P.S. You better be pretty freakin awesome to make me switch from Nozbe.

I've noticed that the YC funded startups this year are particularly derivative. I guess the safe(r) money in this glum economy is in iterative also rans.

It's depressing though. There is no vision, courage or leadership from investor groups like YC. There's no "art" in these startups.

I haven't used Hipmunk because Kayak has always delivered results quickly and painlessly.

Hipmunk reminds me of Macro Economics in college, and how I had to extract so much information from lines on a graph. I'd break out in a cold sweat when asked to do so in front of the class. I hated it.

The Hipmunk graphs look like homework to me. I don't want homework. Just state the information clearly so I can move on with my life.

Another factoid on ants: typically, when a person spots an ant inside their residence, they assume the worst. They fear a swarming, thriving ant colony is breeding inside their home.

This is almost never the case.

Most species of ants live in hollow trees, logs, landscaping timbers, and soil, and will march hundreds of metres from their colony in search of food.

If you see ants in your home, there's no need to napalm your carpets or use traps and poisons. Have compassion. Keeping your floors clear of carbohydrate rich foods will keep most ants busy looking elsewhere.

And for the odd ant scout that goes walking by? Look the other way. They're not the enemy. They are your friend. They are a part of nature.

The name "Leaky" is such an obviously lousy name, I'm suspicious it's a marketing ploy. Are you going to change your name a few weeks from now to get more ink from Techcrunch et al?

It's the only reason my mind can fathom.

Be prepared to defend yourself startups. Put on your armor. Some with malice in their hearts will thrust daggers at you. Fight with strength and honor and the crowd will love you.

Win the crowd and you will win your freedom.

To those startups who do not fight with valor? You will be subject to the mob, as was Airbnb. Even the Emperor will not be able to silence the cries for blood!

Startups... I salute you.

LET THE LAUNCHES BEGIN!

Okay, let me preface the following question with the admission I'm a complete jerk.

Now that's out of the way, I'm wondering what makes me want to use Kicksend over Ge.tt or the half dozen other file transfer services? WTH makes you so special?

EDIT: Upvoting this comment will only encourage me. Stop it.
