Built with speed in mind. Each query takes about 1 second. Initial load time is averaging 1 second and to load it from cache takes 0.2s. Both of these are averaging faster than Google. But with a lot less functionality!

Duck duck Go exists as a privacy first search engine, so why not Komodo as a privacy first LLM client?

OpenAI never found a true identity under Sam. Sam treated pursued hyper growth (treating it like a YC startup) and many in the company, including Ilya, wanted it to be a research company emphasizing AI safety.

Whether you're Team Sutzkaver or team Altman, you can't deny it's been interesting to see extremely talented people fundamentally disagree what to do with godlike technology.

It's incredible how many of you alleged tech people think that Sam just wanted a world of safe AI while his actions suggest he wanted to make dump trucks of money.

He was the one who partnered with Microsoft and turned it from a non-profit to a for-profit company.

True, I guess as any news forum grows, you're going to have marketing trolls. I'm just kinda disappointed that it never gets down-voted or called out in the comments.

Maybe if more users had the right to down-vote, there wouldn't be this problem.

Given there are a very large amount of nearly identical t-shirts and caps you can buy, a clothing company's sole strategy is marketing. If you think this "boycotting" isn't also marketing, you're a sucker. Stop with all the comments about their "principles". They sell goddamn t-shirts. Manufactured in China btw.

The burden of getting a startup off the ground is centered around engineering, design, and actually getting your hands dirty and building the product.

As an engineer, I've been approached by those experienced in sales and offer me to build a mutually agreed upon product that we agreed would make money for equity. I would like to know if this model works. If so, how does it work? Is this common?

You can take offense if you like, but if you meet a guy at an entrepreneur conference who already built a prototype, you're not a co-founder.
