ChatGPT isn't even aware of Sora when I asked it to generate a video. Like why not combine the interface for prompting? Sounds like their having issues scaling a common interface so each team is making their own.

I actually can't imagine what it will do for video gaming. Maybe enhancing cut-scenes, but then why can't they just do the performance and rendering using the gaming engine in realtime?

Yeah! And surgical tubing slingshots. A very small construction project where they can learn to use a speed square. Tune the slingshot or catapult until it can launch a handball into a 1x1 meter square some distance away. Also a great way to wear the kids out having to run and collect the ball.

Triggered. Missing from this is the experience where the reviewer rejects for something trivial, then you fix the issue in 1 minute, resubmit, and finally have to wait 24 hours for them to check their code review requests again.

They also never follow up on any of the reports, nor can they really. The anonymous comment section is less than useless. The exaggerated camera-shake (maybe due to frame rate reduction in post processing) videos of police lights or a fire in the distance are mildly interesting.

Their business model appears to be some sort of call-for-help button. Idk if buttnugs47 will come running to your aid. Gl with that

Such a cool project. Fyi The camera didn't work on iOS.

Agreed, people act like every neighbor is terrible but they're just talking about a few that they saw years ago. Most of Nextdoor is like, did you see this coyote? Also diverse people taking to each other which is actually rare to observe on social media.

This field was a blocker for me as well. If the channel field was an async select that helped autocomplete lookup channel urls by channel name, this would be way more convenient.

My use case would be for ham radio. Lots of ham radio YouTubers film their QSOs (conversations) and mention the callsigns that they make contact with. I want to find the channels that mention my callsign and I'm sure lots of other hams would want to know. Anywho cool project. GL 73

It’s terrifying that all of these models are one colab notebook away from unleashing unlimited, disastrous imagery on the internet. At least some companies are starting to realize this and are not releasing the source code. However they always manage to write a scientific paper and blog post detailing the exact process to create the model, so it will eventually be recreated by a third party.

Meanwhile, Nvidia sees no problem with yeeting stylegan and and models that allow real humans to be realistically turned into animated puppets in 3d space. The inevitable end result of these scientific achievements will be orders of magnitude worse than deepfakes.

Oh, or a panda wearing sunglasses, in the desert, digital art.

It is a low quality voice, but somehow it adds a bit of comedic value to videos. A more natural voice would ironically be less funny IMO.

RH 660s. I was skeptical at first, but it has really held up. I get really good signal reports and people always say they're surprised when I'm using a UV5R. I did drill the microphone port open a little wider by the way and I think that helped get some more gain/clarity as well.

Note that the RH 660s is 27 centimeters collapsed (11 inches), and 1 meter fully extended. It is rigid so not one of the floppy antennas. Collapsed it can take abuse, but when extended, bending is a risk.

haha thanks. Yeah I'm trying to make RR the next big thing. Near zero load times, no suit required for haptic feedback, two 576MP cameras, the list goes on. The birds are still obviously drones though.
