by the "are the same", i'm trying to determine if the articles would basically be talking about the same/similar topic...

this of course would/might take into account similar phrases/words, possibly similar titles, similar timeframe of creation, possible a priori knowledge about the author (past works), etc...

as far as i can tell, the author is on point. twitter is pretty much a place to waste time on. and yeah.. there are a number of people who do bitch about it.

is it google's search business that's bigger, or the ad portion?

just how is bigger really defined?

the search business per se, doesn't really generate revenue in the same category as the ad portion.

if we're really talking about the revenue from the ad portion, then you need to consider what might throw a wrench in the advertising model being run by google. i can easily imagine a few that could have serious implications of the cash cow that's the google ad engine..

so just what is meant by "being bigger than microsoft"???

but 1) the two sites you posted, are really the same site.

and 2) i'm not talking of a site to bring investors/entrepreneurs together.. just a simple site to really refine/nail down the business/operational plan.

a small business opportunity. allow people to post their redacted business/operational plans for funded/non-funded entities.

allow people who are looking for live plans to be able to search through abstracts/text of the plans to get a feel for what's there... charge people something small, like $10/year for the rights to access/view x number of plans.

charge them something less if they post their own plans...

also, have the ability to have plans (anonymously) reviewed by given trusted people within the site...

to deal with someone's fear that a given idea might be "stolen" the actual idea portion of the doc can be left out... for the purpose of this site, it wouldn't be that important/critical...

thoughts/comments...

if you want to build something like this, let me know.. i'd probably be willing to personally throw a few grand into something like this....
