In my understanding, it needs operator level access to control the modem, or is it also possible to control the model using a MITM like scenario (off the air interception). If the latter is possible, it can become all the worrisome! Any ideas?

I think it's a pretty solid way of establishing "delivery". But Credit Card company supporting BitCoins, that doesn't sound too probable, since easy availability of BTCs could be a threat to Credit Cards.

On a quick read, the article doesn't talk about the licensing for the free fonts. Several free fonts I've liked are free for personal projects or websites, but are chargeable for commercial projects - and one should be careful about selecting them.

Secondly, fonts are very easy to pirate. The commerical fonts (eg. TypeKit fonts) can be copied and reused with a bit of HTML+CSS knowledge. Anyone know of a way to enforce the font licenses?

Interesting service. I'm thinking about the privacy/security concerns. Many PPTs contain proprietary material that cannot/should not be shared to third parties. NDAs exist, but they're difficult to enforce or sometimes maybe an overkill. How are the founders looking at addressing this problem?

Or something automated with minimal (or none) human intervention is desirable?

It's just days ahead of our product beta launch - AdPushup.com - which lets you optimize your Adsense earnings. Our MVP is focused on WordPress, and one of the components is the Visual Editor through which multiple ads (locations, designs, size etc.) can be placed on the WordPress website. I feel our editor is more flexible in terms of ad placement and settings, but this news is definitely a threat, or a validation in disguise.

Note to team: launch the beta even faster!

Agreed, emailing .jar is kind of lame. They should have tried with some office/PDF exploits first!

AngularJS explicitly [1] states that its suited best for standard CRUD apps. If you need to do something which requires touching the DOM or some low level manipulation, better stay off it. We decided against it while building our GUI Editor ( adpushup.com), and decided on Backbone (w/ Backbone relational). Backbone is a library (as opposed to being a framework) and plays really nice with jQuery and vanilla JS.

However, there'll be projects/components for which AngularJS (or EmberJS) would be better suited, and we'll surely love to give it a try.

I agree about the impressions point. High CTR or not, the Ad is indeed shown to the user, and to look it form a totally different PoV, the low CTR ads mean relatively low CPMs (i.e. eCPM, assuming CPC to be low). If looked from a pure branding or impression perspective, this might be desirable (although I'm not saying low CTR is good for the publisher OR the advertiser).

Well, I had almost drowned once. I had a personal flotation device and I knew swimming! We were out rafting, and I had swayed away from the raft swimming in light rapids (the instructor said its very safe - which it wasn't). When I realized that the rapids were overwhelming me, I tried to stay afloat (a flotation device and know-how of floating works - but I guess I was panicked!), but did not help too much. It took me sometime to realize I was drowning, and in the meantime I had told another raft that had approached to help - that I was fine (overconfidence?). When the reality hit, it was bad, and I could not even scream. I did wave my hands, on to which my friends on the raft threw a rope, and I survived.
