Totally, like there's no way an AI company could hit $80M revenue in <2 years [0], or power the recommendations systems for billions of dollars worth of online commerce.
Also there's no way that it could generate audio/image/video/text that would trick the average person that this was generated by an AI.

I believe in property rights, but patenting ideas leads to such perverse incentives that the benefits rarely outweigh the cost. Often times the person isn't even the first to come up with the idea! They're just the first to patent it.
Look at the field of psychedelics for example, where there's a mad scramble to patent things as absurd as the process of administering the psychedelic.
IP rights are a cancer on society and have held back progress for generations.
From drugs, to technology, I would say IP rights have done more harm than good. Especially when you consider the number of patent trolls that waste countless of hours and money.
Humans are not islands, nothing you make is yours. It is likely a remix of someone else's idea or influence.
Having worked as a data scientist at multiple companies (From FANG to startup), the first thing I look at when I get my hands on data is the existence of the Pareto principle.
I still haven’t found one company where this principle didn’t show up.
I bet a lot of students -- the laziest ones -- are getting "WTF is this essay even about... did you have a stroke while writing this?!" feedback if they are using LLMs to generate essays whole-cloth.

Chances are high that your startup will: 1) Fail 2) Get acquired and gets shut down 3) Aggressively monetize leading to poor UI/UX (i.e. Evernote)
The whole advantage of Obsidian is that it relies on an open format, and makes it easy to transition to a new platform
I want a system that I know 20 years from now I can still use (or can transition to a better one).
Maybe I'm in the minority but I've tried at least 10 different note taking apps over the last decade, and none of them have staying power because they all fall into the three issues I outlined above.
I expect this will be shut down a year after the people working on it get their promos.
