same idea - there isn't really a zillow like website in moldova - mostly classifieds sites. so I figured why not - gonna scrape the internet and put them on the map. we'll see what comes of it.

I do a bit of research and turns out this is mostly true, mostly these websites built for english speaking people, meaning you learn romanian - but starting from english.

found some romanian words ranked by frequency. found free open db of romanian words on dexonline. found google TTS to transform text to sound. found that cloudflare has storage sooooo much cheaper than aws s3 (only one I used for decade) found that cloudflare has some neat useful features. found that server at hetzner is pretty cheap and with ai easy to setup. found that fable/opus are great at generating content (with some hand holding) found that AI now is stupid good at building / designing websites.

it was impossible for me to build something like this without second monitor and tweaking css for days/weeks. now? I just tell it make it pretty. god damn. inspiring and disheartening at the same time.

1. body - food, water, shelter, sleep. check 2. safety - freedom, stability. check 3. love and belonging: friends & family. check 4. self realization: prestige, respect, achievements.. ???? that's your next step. 5. the dream: full complete realization of ones potential.

also maybe useful questions to ask:

1. how is my last month going to look like - how do I wanna die. invision it. 2. maybe think. what would you do if you only had week, month, year to live? maybe go do it? is it realy impossibly to do while paying mortgage? chances are it isnt.

also, maybe list things you like about yourself and things you dont like. wanna work on those you dont like?

2 things why I dont bother interviewing:

1. very difficult long interview that I most likely won't pass 2. I only want to work remotely. driving every day few hours back and forth is very expensive in many ways.

same. even though I make good living, buying house seems difficult - it's a lot of money for many years. add closing costs and misc repairs, and owning appears to be quite expensive. I wouldn't know what to do if at any point within next 10 years I lost the job.

if you somehow managed to get 160k out of the bootcamp I would guess bootcamp is only part of why you got such an offer. you are extreme outlier.

structure. assuming it costs 50k to develop curriculum and 1000 ppl take it price becomes 50 per person. more people take it, price if it (theoretically) has to move towards 0. guidance. this one I can understand. having person always available to help out when something unexpected happens, which btw happens constantly is extremely helpful. this is def value added.

accountability. this one I'm not sure what you mean. meaning I invest 10k now I really have to make it work. yeah, unfortunately people tend to value expensive things more than free.

connections. yes, this is perhaps biggest selling point, the idea that they will place the student, or at the very least help significantly.

hmmm... I wonder if there is a way to quantify that. is it really ~ 1k/week to do all of that?

tests are helpful if I can find them, but there aren't that many, good ones

Yes, agree. I can list a lot of simple things like that

before pandemic started: - I asked more money (so that I can afford live alone in high COL) they said no. - I asked to work remotely - they sad no - I asked for more money (but less now) they still said no.

I left. found a remote job with 25% raise. in 3 months pandemic hit and everybody started working remotely.
