I actually have been working out regularly, but it seems like I'm building up a tolerance to the psychological benefits.

It would be nice to take a hiatus, but that's not an option for me right now.

Gauging interest is definitely the main goal for now, and it's seeming like the only way to do that without getting the full legal outfit first is selling for events like you mentioned.

Your last point is resourceful, but it also kind of goes against our market advantage of 'the only home-made doughnut location near campus'.

See, I THINK we would have a great product-market fit, and I KNOW the traffic is good for this particular location. I just want to see HOW good the fit and traffic are, namely if they're good enough to support a $3k/mo rent, employees, and a decent salary.

That's pretty awesome about your family's recipe, and a shame that a chain like that could decrease sales so much.

I like this, but we also would want to take the pre-selling period as an opportunity to build the brand a bit.

And again, there are legal issues with food vending even if it's someone else's stuff.

Thanks for the heads up!

From the marketing point of view I think we're pretty well set up. The closest major doughnut vendors are about a 45 minute drive away and the closest small doughnut shop is about 3 miles. We would be opening up a couple hundred feet from campus. (Although there are still grocers that sell doughnuts nearby.)

I think we could kill it, but then again I feel like I'm walking on especially thin ice with all the legal stuff; this is also an area I'm unfamiliar with and with a physical space to manage as well as employees, things could get messy.

Thanks for the advice, I'll make sure to do my research if I go through with it.

Watch people speak (online videos are fine) and read more. You should listen to different people and read different authors depending on what you want to sound like when you talk, that is, what kind of speaking style and language you want to use.

You'll be able to get the flow of language a lot better if you hear how people that are experienced at speaking put together sentences.

This has been an extremely widespread viewpoint and I think that it's a HUGE misconception. It's true that society is a machine and that there are certain costs to live in that machine. However, in most cases, I think that we are free to do as we please.
