I believe you say that as a figure of speech, like it would be incredible to him to last. I may be misinterpreting you. Yet...

I believe it's not so surprising he lasts until the end of his term. I don't mean to remove any blame on Trump, but this case, and many others, have more to do with people (ICE agents) having 'power' to do this kind of injustice on the basis of their own biases (racism.)

I wasn't around when Adolf won its elections, and his first year. But I assume it was similar on many regards. "They thought they were free".

From the customers' perspective sounds ethical. The product was broken or extremely cheap quality, and not what it seemed to be originally when you decided to purchase... Is this black or white? ;p

I've been on Lemmy communities for a while, most are left-aligned (e.g. solarpunk). Think of Lemmy as a federated alternative to Reddit. Of course, there are "tankies" and "right-wing" people. Sometimes we end-up commenting on the same thread and it turns out bad... but regardless of it, I think you may enjoy the experience. My recommendation would be to jump into a Lemmy fork, just like PieFed.social :) from there you can follow communities (subreddits) in bulk, thanks to the concept of "topics".

PS. also check https://lemmyverse.net/communities

I can recommend the browser extension "modern for hacker news". Some features are premium (no subscription though) but only the defaults gives SO MUCH ux like font size, spacing between lines, text width.

Another great accesibility feat is the APIs for this web. I use upvoterate listing from quality news as front page.

To sum it up, opening the tab previews under Zen Browser made my experience feel like the coolest SPA, haha.

Posit offers cran snapshots on their public 'package manager' instance. It's a great resource indeed. Via the URL you can ask to use as a mirror and get the snapshot you desire ;)

You haven't discovered the lemmyverse yet? Head over to piefed.social and be happy again ;)

I'm not related to either project (piefed is federated with lemmy instances), but enjoy those feeds A LOT.

This. Precise text auto-completer. Without reasoning or cognitive processes whatsoever, just a very marketable illusion of it. Despite the lies, a great tool.

As any tool, it takes knowledge and responsibility. Just lile the unix chainsaw.

Makes sense. Keeping the conversation implieas that each new message carries the whole history, again. You need to create new chats from time to time, or throttle to a different model...

iiuc your argument, it would be more accurate to phrase it as: mastodon, lemmy, and other federated social protocols are like archipelagos of small islands.

Or, you were referring to bluesky.

We don't need centralization for this. Federated protocols like mastodon have friendlier APIs than some of the most popular walled gardens of today...

I took the same comment on a different way. To me they're referring to the fact that there are many other media outlets. Not only the big ones that do the same. But the smaller, "independent", that deserve more readers.

granted, they may also have interests or agendas. They point is we need decentralization!

I wonder if any predators (i.e. birds) would eventually learn about this lure and its schedule, and starts waiting around it for its preys...
