I don't think the name has a trademark because it's 2 generic words added together.

I may have tweeted what happened but I didn't raise an issue in an official way.

I registered a few Twitter accounts as well. Approximately 10 or so. Here's what happened :

I used my accounts and Twitter kept growing and growing. I updated my personal account several times a month. Another one was updated on a daily basis. My other accounts usually got updated every few months.

Then one day I got a DM from someone asking me whether I was interested in selling the account he was sending a DM to. I told him I had no intention of selling. Thank you for asking.

I didn't even ask him to name a price cause I wanted to use the account on one of my projects. So whatever his price was going to be, I couldn't care less.

Fast forward a few months of inactivity and it turns out I can no longer access my account AND a big media company is using it.

I was shocked but I remembered the guy's name so I Googled it. It turns out he was the CEO of the media company who hacked my account !

I should clarify he probably didn't hack it. The password was just too difficult so he must have pulled a few strings in order to get it done.

Do you happen to know how that works ? I never used a service like mailgun or mailchimp. Do they use IP addresses that are not being blocked by the email services ?

I took a quick look at it because I will be in the market for a crm system. A question I have is whether it's possible to add contacts to a campaign so it's easy to see the results per campaign.

In terms of offering more products without making it look like a tiered system. If it's invoicing, it's perfectly fine to add that as a feature we can pay for. Lots of SMBs already have their own invoicing system. They know it's something separate. Just give it a name, a different color and sell it as a feature. I think I would like a to-do list as well. Not all contacts buy the same thing but some do, I want to automate it a little bit, so it's a step by step approach that I can go through. Give me a list that I can easily copy to other projects and easily change. Not sure if Basecamp offers something similar. Add it to the crm system as a feature and charge me for it. Sounds fair to me.

They are adding Success Services / access to their customer success team. Any idea what this looks like ? A consultancy service or general support ?

The indifference is a worldwide phenomenon.

And it's problematic because indifference is what gave Hitler the chance to become more powerful, indifference helped him identify minorities and it helped him build 45 concentration camps, ... the list goes on and on. You all know what happened next.

Would Hitler have been a problem if it wasn't for our indifference ? Would the technology that build the internet have been used against us if it wasn't for our indifference ?

Indifference is probably more dangerous than those who have "evil" intentions. And I don't have a solution. I don't know what we can do about it, other than educating people on it but it's clearly not working and it needs to happen now because the problem is getting bigger by the day, imo.

It's our indifference that gets us into a lot of trouble. Time and time again.

Right now, they don't need a warrant and I bet it's already causing problems for some people because government employees misbehave when you give them a grey area like that. That's just a fact. And you're not gonna hear about it because people are powerless. They can't react to it because it will get them in more trouble.

Those who say that isn't true are the ones who haven't experienced it or are the ones taking advantage of others in similar ways.

And what makes it even worse is that the governments store all the data for years, maybe even decades. History has told us this is going to become a huge problem. For a lot of people. We may not live long enough to experience what can happen but it's just a matter of time. And this generation is responsible for it.

It's no surprise but give me 6 months of your data and I will use it to turn you into a criminal. It's no surprise but it's a huge problem.

There's more to come. And Obama wants to make sure Snowden's the last one to ever try it. So it's about a lot more than trying to stop or get one single man.

I understand what you're saying but letting people vote on individual issues isn't always good. Here's an example :

I live in Belgium, a country where 3 million people are paying for 8 million others. Those 8 million include kids, people without a job and people in retirement or who got sick. And we should help them. But it also includes 1.3 million government employees (hundreds of thousands more than The Netherlands where they got 6 million more citizens), people who aren't really sick, people who aren't willing to work, people who retired at an age way below the average European retirement age.

So they want the system to continue even though it's unsustainable. When asked, they aren't going to vote against a system they are taking advantage of.

Meanwhile the EU thinks it's a good idea to negotiate a new EU - US trade agreement. And it's a good idea, but not when one side is spying on the other. They should place it on hold.

Back in the 70s a lot of alternative systems were coming available when oil prices were sky high due to an oil embargo. A lot of initiatives were started all over the world to become independent and to develop alternative sources of energy. It's very unfortunate all that innovation was stopped soon after the oil price went back down again.

What it always seems to come down to : a threat followed by a political decision. But as soon as the threat is gone, almost all innovation is being stopped. And that's very unfortunate.

We've seen something similar when the US got the first human on the Moon. There was a threat, a political decision, a lot of innovation and then the threat disappeared and the funding dried up.

I wasn't born yet in 1969 but I do remember reading about it as a kid. And when I grew up I was wearing a sweater with the letters USA on it. I wasn't the only one, far from it.

And here we are. Decades later. There's another threat, imo. All we need is a political decision.

Is it really that smart ? By doing so the president commits crimes against humanity, incentives lots of people to attack the US, kills privacy for the sake of security and does so while violating the constitution. The list goes on and on. Meanwhile, the people (not the government !) end up paying for this madness. Literally and figuratively.

A smart thing to do would have been to fund programs that bring alternatives on the market. That may not even have been necessary. (high oil prices is a big enough incentive) If he had invested all that war money in alternatives, the world would love the US. But look at what's happening now ! The guy at the top is worse than Bush. He then bullies and threatens foreign countries in an attempt to shut down journalists. How smart is all that ?

The US could have innovated its way out of oil dependency problem. It choose not to. How smart is that ?

Those I know were getting around 1000 a month. All 5 of them. I'm not against time credit (babies need their parents, sick people need help) but some abuse the system.

Here's a tip : Become a Belgian citizen, get a job, use a 1 year time credit, let the government pay you € 1,000 a month, travel the world for 1 year and still keep your job.

You do need the company's permission. But no wonder our country is getting deeper in debt. I don't know that many people but I do know 5 people who have done this.

It's PR. They say there's court involvement but it's a rubber stamp and then they access all data they got on you. They do say there has to be reasonable suspicion but we all know how that goes.

One guy says people don't have an expectation of privacy because they are used to giving their data to the phone companies.

We have a pirate party in Belgium and I have to say it's interesting but I honestly don't see how people are going to vote for them.
