Where fable has blown me away is converting entire code bases and or refactoring across many different segments.

It’s far more careful than opus and puts far more effort into testing and validating by default.

Switching back to opus at work was a downgrade. Similar requests felt more clunky and needed far more hand holding.

This is an issue I am running up against on Safari (Version 26.5 (21624.2.5.11.4)) on MacOS 26.5.

I've been comparing Claude vs Codex using GPT and Claude consistently is better than GPT about reasoning, about writing code, and using the tools as appropriate.

GPT for instance had a lot of issues using git worktrees, and didn't understand how to correctly use it to then merge stuff back into a main branch, vs Claude which seems to do this much more naturally.

GPT also left me with broken tests/code that I had to iterate on manually, Claude is much better about reasoning through code. Primarily Python.

The sexual repression in the United States is part of the reason why so many people grow up with the wrong ideas around sex and why teen pregnancy is such a big thing. Open discussion about these things (including gender and gender identity in that) is the best way to allow kids to grow up to be functional adults that are well informed and able to have critical thought about how and what they do and are far less likely to fall prey to predators and people who want to do them harm due to their lack of experience.

I moved my Hue sensors to my primary Zigbee network and left the bulbs on the hub, especially since I have some of the gradient strips that don't work unless they are on the Hue hub, and my motion sensors have been rock solid.

Hue bulbs currently are stock standard Zigbee compatible light bulbs. You can pay them into ZHA/Z2M without any issues and control them without any Hue hub or app.

If Hue were to suddenly switch to something proprietary their existing bulbs will all continue to function without their app or hub.

Not resolving 127.0.0.1 or RFC1918 addresses or even ULA for IPv6 is done to avoid DNS rebinding attacks. For most end users that is probably the correct move.

Single user... me. My email address is used on all my git commits/mailing lists across the web.

I check my junk folder every other day to make sure that legitimate mail does not go through because I've set my rspamd config pretty tight.

So all of these are classified correctly as spam by human eyes.

About 70% of my spam originates from *.onmicrosoft.com. Unfortunately I can't easily block the whole thing because there is also legitimate email traffic from Office365/Azure.

I have tried sending Microsoft reports, but have not heard back, and the spam continues.

The length header in DKIM only pertains to the body of the message. Received headers should never be signed by DKIM, and those are added to give you a way to trace how a message was handled.

I don't remember the name of the company, but it was a service you bought where you would get network monitoring by placing these small PoE powered boxes all over your offices.

It would allow you to do network reliability testing, as well as get data back on Wifi AP's and some environmental data.

Company I worked for had them spread out across all of their offices in various different locations, all of them reporting back to a central location.

When we took apart the device we found a Raspberry Pi inside, with a PoE hat. It made sense for the use case, cheap devices, custom case, and MAC address that was set to the vendors MAC address range upon boot up.

At the time I was helping with a security assessment, and being able to run our own software/tools on a device that would blend in was kinda nice ;-)

"Embedded industry" is a VERY large segment.

Here's a fun one for you. This was told to me by the person who helped build this project. Parallax makes a device they call the BASIC Stamp 2 (https://www.parallax.com/product/basic-stamp-2-microcontroll...). It is a very easy to use and develop for microcontroller yet it is incredibly capable. You program it in BASIC.

The BASIC Stamp 2 was for the longest time used in a production sold to consumer timer clocks for turning solenoids on and off for sprinkler systems. At one point in time you could buy it off the shelf at Home Depot not knowing that the device contained a very simple BASIC Stamp 2 to do its functions.

These devices end up in the weirdest places. You'd think a manufacturer would switch from a BASIC Stamp based product to spinning their own board + using a small embedded CPU instead, but the cost savings just weren't there.

The RaspberryPi is likely used in far more places than you or I could imagine in ways that are considered "professional". That stuff gets hidden in little metal/plastic moulded boxes and for all intents and purposes disappears.

Split DNS is broken on macOS when doing that, and for users with VPN that does split DNS it is not just an annoyance it leads to software not actually functioning.

Re-implementing system capabilities is fine and all as long as you support common use cases properly, which Golang does not.
