I see a number 4770 and 4790 still doing the job they were bought for. I expect the same for 12th gen when they're 13yo. Not so for anything between 4th and 12th.

It can depend a bit on the use. I'm watching content (Jellyfin) on a ThinkCentre M75n IoT Thin Client.

It's underpowered all around. Athlon Silver 3050e, 4GB DDR4 (3.4 avail & not upgraeable) but it's running Win11 enterprise IoT 24H2. The device would sometimes throttle the CPU for unknown reasons (not thermal, no throttle flags). Universal x86 Tuning Utility completely fixed that.

The experience is really good up to 1080p videos. It can choke on 4k but it's a bedroom TV; it's fine. Videos on Firefox are no trouble. I'm quite happy with it.

Every time an update is posted, those browsers are out of date. I've had Firefox go out of date more than once a day.

In the same vein, Brave won't update once it's a bit behind. It'll refuse and stay downdated until it's reinstalled.

I wanted DST until I passed 50yo. My sleep moved from bulletproof to affectable. I have much less insomnia during standard time.

It's possible this has changed but I would name Catholics and Mormons as topping the large family demographics in the US (although in 2015, Pew disagreed¹ with my assertions about Catholics).

Does this challenge your overall point about conservatives? I'm not sure.

It is my experience that a rise in Evangelicals' political power is eventually followed by returns to their historical disregard/animosity for Catholics² and Mormons³. Being on the receiving end of serial demonization can shove folks away from the ideologies that generate it.
