Author, be the change you want to see in the world. Stop whining and do something.

Maybe the city has a million of them sitting in a warehouse from some previous administration and they don't want to buy new ones.

Just this week I needed to completely revamp my personal website. I went with Squarespace because it's quick to spin up and I don't have to fiddle with tons of plugins and a complicated theme ecosystem. I just need a website that works. I used to use Wordpress for all my previous iterations, but now, it's done. Sad to see it become obsolete by not fixing them broader business and user-friendliness problems.

Holy moly that was an incredible experience. Well done!

The increasingly-dark Duolingo bird has to be my favorite part. Maybe I didn't get all the easter eggs there, but I almost wish the whole game just turned into an elaborate plot for vengeance for the owls.

May I introduce you to literally all of Classical and Jazz Music?

Hell, tons of other genres are recorded piles of times with each being different. Even in the pop world, covers exist, a long tradition of different artists doing the same song.

Ozempic has been around about 10 years used mostly for diabetes, but it's use for weight loss management has exploded with the release similar drugs using the same core principles such as Wegovy and Mounjaro. There's also definitely a compounding effect of it being successful for people and them telling their friends.

MNX is probably good but they are taking an awful long time to get the job done. They ran into the same roadblocks as any format, there's too many competing needs and too many opinions. MIDI 2.0 has also had some really interesting talk about embedding notation data inside the wrapper to make it an "all-encompassing" music format.

I'm not as familiar with MEI but I don't believe it's any better for preserving music engraving data compared to the musical data itself.

The "industry standard" has functionally been split between Finale and Sibelius for over 20 years. It still holds, but Dorico is attempting a coup for that title with this move.
