No offense intended, but the best way to reduce any potential odors from your cat’s box is simply to pick it up regularly. Several times per day when my partner or I pass the box we scoop it and place the waste in a sealed bag in a sealed bucket. Takes 30 seconds. Never had issues with odors and the cats appreciate a clean box, just as any person appreciates a clean bathroom (more so for cats with their stronger sense of smell). And from time to time fully empty and wash down the box tray with soap. We’ve been shocked by how poorly many people maintain their cat boxes, which leads to the misconception that cats are smelly. They are incredibly clean animals, far cleaner than we humans. And we’ve been asked by some guests why our house doesn’t have that “pet/cat smell.” Empty the box regularly, you’ll be amazed by the results.

Thanks for sharing your air filter setup. How large is the space you’re filtering with your setup and how many months do the Terrabloom filters last before you have to change them? Also where’s the HEPA component of the system? (Agree about Miele vacuums with a HEPA filter insert, which is supposed to be changed annually. Mieles also last forever with minor maintenance).

Appreciate a good film production documentary recommendation. Any suggestions? My partner worked in film and described sets - love to learn more about how a larger production functions. I think good film production teams require incredible organization and coordination skills and processes.

Actually remember reading that a number of studies have linked short stature with heart disease. I’m not up-to-date on the latest research on this. But whether shorter or taller you do the best you can with the factors within your control - nutrition, exercise, sleep, etc. Anecdotally two friends’ fathers in elementary school died way prematurely, both quite short of stature.

Could you recommend any types of mushrooms you'd recommend for home cultivation and online sources for blocks? Already grow vegetables and it would be great to add mushrooms to the mix. Also are there any communities you'd recommend that share good advice?

I remember seeing an online service that provides the functionality of Pi Hole, blocking ads, protecting privacy and significantly speeding up browsing. Anyone familiar with it? If you’ve tried it, did you like it?

What’s your favorite one-bag carryon? My partner and I have used an MEI Voyageur, a classic which was recommended by Onebag.com for recreational travel, but in black it still works for business travel. It didn’t disappoint and has held up so well over time and many miles and trips. For 3 lbs you get tough ballistic nylon material, durable zippers, well-padded hide-able shoulder and waist straps and a shoulder strap, internal aluminum frame stays for support and internal straps to stabilize your contents - all at a great value that can be half the cost of similar bags that are heavily marketed. The pack is still made by a small California shop and I’ve given it as a gift to students. My only real complaint is at my 6 ft height I’d appreciate a slightly longer torso, which can be done by asking the maker to attach the hip belt a few inches lower on the pack. I’m sure there are some newer bags out there with a bit sleeker design, but also certain they don’t approach the value of this bag.

Do you have a link to a post where Ken elaborates on this opinion? Thanks

For any person consuming a healthy balanced diet, how would distilled water flush electrolytes from their system? Their food would be providing them with plenty electrolytes, such as sodium, potassium, etc. Electrolyte supplements are unnecessary for all but more intense longer endurance exercise (same for energy bars). RO (reverse osmosis) water filtration systems are best in class - far better at removing contaminants than pitcher filters - some RO models have a calcium cartridge which is purely meant to improve taste, not save anyone from electrolyte flushing.

Which Cowan units do you use? The only concern I have with smaller air filter devices is they sometimes can have significantly less surface area than the furnace filters typically used with box fans.

Congratulations Aakash and Manan on your launch! Talk about addressing an actual, physical pain point. Best of luck unstuffing the nation. A few questions: 1) How many months treatment time is necessary to see recognizable results? 2) How soon after starting Wyndly treatment can users stop using antihistamines such as anti-histamine pills and inhalers? 3) Generally how long must treatment be maintained before it can be stopped, and how long will the results last? A European poster in this thread mentioned his dust mite allergy requires 3 years of drops before they can be stopped for 3 years, after which the treatment must be repeated.

He wrote a very helpful book on the subject, Managing the Unmanageable, published by Pearson/Addison-Wesley https://www.managingtheunmanageable.net/.

Great to see you here and thank you for offering free guidance and services. Looking forward to reading your site. I agree we need real data privacy laws with enforcement. Unfortunately most people don't understand how their data is being abused and don't understand that the regulation tech companies are asking for isn’t the answer - they'll just water it down with well-funded lobbyists. A few questions:

1) Why can’t DeleteMe remove info from more services and why is OneRep able to remove from many more? For example, DeleteMe will tell you there are a number of services they can’t remove from, and that any data left on those sites will just be scraped again by the other sites DeleteMe already removed from.

2) Given your expertise, which data privacy practices do you recommend? When using another email to sign up for all services and ecommerce, do you recommend that email not be a Gmail?

3) How does DeleteMe’s Blur product help guard your identity and privacy beyond using a separate email?

2k (2560 x 1440) seems to be ideal for 27 in. monitors. Does anyone really find 2k insufficient on a 27 in.? And I find 1080p fine on a 24 in. monitor.
