The Germans in this article all appear to be aligned to either BSW (populist far-left, pro-Russia, anti-US) or AfD (populist far-right, pro-Russia). BSW wasn't even elected into the parliament and AfD, while being part of the parliament, has virtually no power due to not being part of the government coalition and all other parties sharing an informal agreement to not pass legislations with the help of AfD.
What I'm trying to say is that these two do not represent the German political landscape at all. They also, while on different ends of the left-right-spectrum, both only represent the pro-Russian minority of the German political landscape. This is not a debate happening in Germany right now and no other party has expressed support of any position.

I think this ideas problem might be the people part, specifically the majority type of people that will click absolutely anything for a free iPad

Every few months I come back to this repo to check if they finally got Tailnet lock running or if someone security audited them in the meanwhile. Unfortunately neither of these things seem to make any progress and thus, I’ve grown uncertain in how much I can trust this as a core part of my infrastructure.
The entire premise of Tailscale SaaS builds on creating tunnels around your firewalls, then enabling the user to police what is allowed to be routed through these tunnels in a intuitive and unified way.
Headscale seems to have nailed down the part of bypassing the firewall and doing fancy NAT-traversal, but can they also fulfill the second part by providing enough of their own security to make up for anything they just bypassed, or will they descend to just being a tool for exposing anything to the internet to fuck around with your local network admin? To me, not giving your Tailscale implementation any way for the user to understand or veto what the control server is instructing the clients to do while also not auditing your servers code at all sure seems daring…
Welp it appears from what I could find on their website that the Pro tier is needed to use all features even for selfhosted instances.

It is odd however that the U.S. government escalates in Ukraine, there is a new color revolution in Georgia (the country adjacent to Russia), the Syrian rebels launch a major attack and now this. All of this "coincidentally" makes Trump's peace efforts more difficult.
Escalating in Ukraine (against Russia), launching a major attack against Assad (a Russian ally) and an upcoming revolution against an (allegedly) pro-Russian government in Georgia all seem to fit into a pattern. This SK-thing seems to divide from that pattern and I’d say it is domestic until proven otherwise. If anything, those other small stabs against Russia will aid negotiations as Russias global influence will be weakened by multiple small fires, some of which western allies can put out more easily.
This is wrong. While this clears a some keys and prevents anyone from holding the phone up your face to unlock it, it doesn’t bring the phone back into a full BFU state.
Some keys can still be read, and depending on the exploit they use a lot of data could be extracted. BFU + good passcode is always the way to go.

Actually, they do. A Reddit only consisting of r/AskReddit, r/aww, r/pics and r/tifu provides less value than just using Instagram/Twitter.
Most of the casual users I know use Reddit for a few small meme subreddits and topics that are too small for their main-platforms. If those are down, Reddit is dead to them.
(Of course Reddit could try to send their staff each down a different rabbit hole to fit them into the communities. This would be fucking hilarious. I hope this doesn't happen but if it happens, I'll have my popcorn ready.)
For every good fitness app that does what it promises (-> signal) there are at least 50 bad fitness apps that promise too much and let you pre-pay for the (broken) features you wanted, money you'll never get back (-> noise).
The amount of noise in Fitness apps is so high, nobody really dares to try out small apps. Therefore cool implementations from small devs like the workout-correction might stay unnoticed for years.
