The reasons listed already, plus many events that involve navigation (like fell running) specifically ban electronic equipment.

A Dragon 32 from the BASIC manual that shipped with it. This was in 1982. My parents had bought me the machine, which was fortunately blessed with a great keyboard, but it had almost no games for it, and no shops stocked them. So I made my own using the book.
"and lifestyle intervention". You're supposed to use the drugs to help you get healthy, then stay healthy yourself once you've re-set.
Yes, people will probably have to bounce on and off them, but that's not the same as a lifelong addiction.
Not sure what your beef is, they work, they're helping millions get healthier and live longer.
I agree, which is why most people aren't just taking the drug. They're using the drug to help improve overall health, from better eating, reduced obesity related issues (joints/sleep/metabolism) and are able to start getting healthier. It's not a magic bullet, but it's a significant leg up.
The implication being most overweight people are lazy and impulsive. This is totally broken, there are factors that make some people more inclined to put in weight and what these drugs demonstrate is that our environment of unlimited and manufactured food breaks the normal mechanisms keeping people in a healthy weight. These drugs aren't a magic bullet, what you're able to do on them is exercise the control that many people who don't struggle with their weight can do every day.
Or it could just be an incredibly effective drug?
Absolutely nonsensical, in what way do the way the vote was given impact the outcome?
Economists and analysts at Cambridge Econometrics found that, by 2035, the UK is anticipated to have three million fewer jobs, 32% lower investment, 5% lower exports and 16% lower imports, than it would have had been. The report states that the UK will be £311bn worse off by 2035 due to leaving EU. The UK is not better off with Brexit at all, it is severely hindered by removing itself out of a trading agreement with it's nearest partners. And both men are sadly no longer with us. Coincidence, hmm?
Everyone I know who uses ChatGPT to enhance productivity are on the paid version. GPT4 + Plugins really are a significant improvement in capability.
Many of the 'brain runs out in 2021' problems can be solved with plugins such as pdf readers and web browsers.
Is publicly owned housing or housing associations not a thing in the US? Quite common elsewhere in the west.
My very basic understanding is you customise the mRNA payload towards the immune system targetting the mutating cells that have caused cancer in a patient (after the cancer material has been surgically removed). This prevents the cancer from re-occuring.
It keeps your history on segments and rides for years. Really good for that in fact.
Plus the cocktails of SARMS and other experimental / unapproved drugs that are circulating currently. And bodybuilder test doses are nothing close to HRT Testosterone from doctors.
They are secretive about taking drugs though, because they're things like unsafe doses of anabolic or 'not for human consumption' experimental or substances intended for animals.
Also, the logical conclusion of that argument is we should do more about vehicle accidents, not ignore Covid-19!
We do (or did) have modular options. The Chromecast audio was almost perfect in this regard, a $25 dongle that could be added to any amp/speaker setup and do all the 'smart' you needed including multiroom. Google have pulled it though, presumably the margins aren't there for $25 dongles vs $150 integrated devices. Given nobody else has stepped in to fill the void left by chromecast audio, I'm guessing it just isn't commercially viable.
The Unicorn Project. I got a lot out of the phoenix project and very much looking forward to the sequel.
I enjoyed the Obesity Code which focuses on fasting and insulin resistance, would work well with other books on diet composition.
One more important aspect: cost. In my country mass transit is bizarrely more expensive than private.
The Manx do pay tax, up to 20% income tax and 17.5% VAT (sales tax). Yes, it's low, but a little place with no need for military is cheap to run.
There's plenty of countries with lower rates than that: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_tax_rates
How do you separate avoidance of tax with competition between taxation venues? The IOM (and other small jurisdictions) cannot compete with larger countries on manufacturing and other big industry, but their small size and low cost of government allows them to be very competitive with Tax. If an individual is able to move his finances out of a country to a more competitive jurisdiction, isn't' that the fault of the original country rather than the more competitive one?
You could consider Divestment, making sure any of your pension investments, savings accounts etc are not invested in fossil fuel equities.
I do IF weekdays only, as I know I'll screw it up weekends. It's not as effective as if I did it every day obviously, but it's still better than not doing it at all!
Try to stay positive, looks like you have a good idea what the issues are which means you can plan to make it better. Ideally you should do your best to find someone who can help by simply talking these issues though, ideally face to face. It looks to me that it's food that's the problem rather than your weight, so why not look at that first. With a longer term view; try to reverse that trend of weight slowly going on, to weight slowly going off. Things that worked for me are intermittent fasting (mostly because it's easier to follow than diets), and some rules around processed food. Try to go with foods with under 5 ingredients, prioritising foods that are low in sugars or flours (wheat, cornflour, etc). If you slip, don't sweat it, just get back to it as soon as you can.
Thanks that's an interesting link. I think it backs up what I'm saying though, even with a fantastic cycling infrastructure, hills half the number of trips by bike.
I get the last mile isn't literal but I think many use the lack of transport facilities as an excuse and forget about walking.
£1.50 is about what it costs me here (the grim north) to go around 3 miles. If you only wanted to go one stop, you wouldn't pay £1.50, but if it was free you might take the bus. This is the response from the bus people when I've discussed it with them, how do you prevent that kind of activity? They can't service one stop riders.
I suggested making the stops further apart!
Can't you just walk the last mile?
Any example of the Dutch bike experience ignore the most important fact: it's flat! Add hills and bikes are a lot less viable for the masses.
Electric bikes help flatten out the landscape, but they're currently too expensive to leave lying around and require charging etc.
