Would it be a fair analogy that the president is in a constant state of Zugzwang - ever subsequent move he makes only ends up making things worse.
I think just forego the hypocrisy and have the Israeli's move the White House over there and put one of their own in it instead of pulling the strings.
Are all our foreign policy decisions now made in Tel Aviv to suit Israel?
What's the desired strategic outcome here - to remove the incumbent president and his political party from power and replace it with one more favorable to US oil interests? And to do that without putting ground troops in to some Latin American Vietnam? Good luck with that.
I'm 100% certain the douche who runs Ryanair is extremely concerned about paper waste.
Building a tourist app for my local city here upstate New York, since nobody in the local government office can be bothered.
The guy made an honest mistake - like that time I mistakenly stayed in the bar across the street from one wedding venue (that I had been invited to) and then tried to mingle with the crowd once they came out.
How come I've got to this years old and only learned today that there's a "school for poetic computation" that's mentioned in the article.
The only thing he's missing is that he did this "for charity".
Good God, the absolute stench out of those capsules in Tokyo would not be the first thing a weary traveler would want.
It's f*cking hard work, for those in any doubt. It's the most difficult web server config file you've ever to edit at 4am to resolve some production outage, for years, without any hope of let up. Is it rewarding, yes, but it's a duty and there's no backup or timeout, you get to experience this 24/7 for at least a few year while they're young.
is a literal terrorist group
Some guys doing bad stuff, say other guys doing bad stuff are really bad - trust us - and thus have them added to the definitive naughty list. In case you're in any doubt, there are lots of bad people and folks out there, but believing there's one definitive list is pretty much Western chauvinism writ large.
But if you remove all the AI nonsense from corporate websites, how will the clueless bozos in charge make kissy faces to investors using "AI" anymore?
Neither, just enjoying myself either way.
At that age, it's rather simple. Do whatever it takes to get the foot in the door at a FAANG company. Take whatever RSUs they award you and put them in the bank for 10 years. Get promoted, play the game and after ten or fifteen years, collect all the RSU's you've built up, cash them in and then retire somewhere cheap building out personal projects for the rest of your days to keep yourself engaged and learning (on your own dime).
* how will Turkey negotiate with this facing the pkk and Kurdish nationalism?
Hopefully Turkey does the honorable thing, recognizes an independent Kurdish state and apologizes for decades of oppression, murder and state-sanction terror? Unlikely though.
Nonsense, he'll just pull those forces back to Russia and point them at Ukraine.
We were recently in Portugal. There's a ton of trendy food spots with prices near what we'd pay in HCOL U.S., but there's a ton of really local, mom 'n pop places, with absolutely incredibly prices, and they're incredibly appreciative of your business.
I hear that - last time I was in Lisbon I got breakfast in one of those kind of places and had to ask the cashier if they made a mistake with the change and had given me back too much. Like literally, they could have charged double I would have accepted it as a fair price for a nice meal.
As in creating a fake wall next to Gap and living in some ceiling crevice?
It's all well and good to be buried on the moon, but hopefully the author's descendants are not left with the tab for the funeral.
I would defund many police forces belonging to "constitutional sheriffs" just to put together a fund to translate a few of these scrolls. Granted, it's probably "just" an Epicurean library, but all the same it's a good investment.
If "technical stuff" is your primary interest, you should probably consider changing jobs.
This 100%. It seems that you're doing things proficiently enough to keep your job, but just want to improve your capabilities as a coder. It's going to be difficult without a proper structure or mentors around you. So you've to make a decision whether you'd prefer to stick with the role and get slowly better over time using blog posts and AI reviews, or jump in the deep end and get another role in a more tech industry aligned company. And if you decide to jump to another role, just be aware that you're going to spend 3 to 6 months panicking about whether you're in over you head, and probably won't get "comfortable" in the role for a year.
I dunno, I went sampling a few of them with an open mind, but the taste just seemed off to me.
That's a particularly, but unfortunately good example of how awful they are as a company. The sooner they get pushed out of business the better.
Apologies to any actual jazz fans, but whenever someone mentions a jazz club my mind goes to this... https://youtu.be/TebUMhJAKSM
There's a whole host of GTM shucksters hanging out on LinkedIn - anyone in that space from FAANG or ex-FAANG would tick a lot of boxes.
Hydroponics already works.
I read something on wired last year on why urban vertical farming never really took off, and one of the reasons was, if I remember, that these kind of environments increase the likelihood of plant disease and the density makes it difficult to arrest any spread.
So, I'm not too sure that hydroponics at scale is completely solved.
Doesn't that just mean they won't ever to subject to prosecution by the International Criminal Court?
