Now you made me curious about the stats of different age groups accepted into YC.

Spend the last month creating this. It's Provably Fair. Completely made in the DOM using HTML5. Also works on most mobile devices. Let me know what you guys think :)
Love the idea, dislike the 1 color and the design. nothing wrong with minimal but this feels to narrow.
Should have put the [Y] somewhere in there imo
Put them up for sale on sedo.com doesn't hurt for starters
Bears the question, why is Amazon Payment still US-only? We in Europe need stuff like that so badly. Hell even a lot of options that Paypal offers is not available in mainstream European countries. There is really a huge opportunity and need of Stripe / Wepay / competitors that work in Europe.
This is completely crossing the line. Showing others what you have searched without notifying me about this is just offensive to me. I love quora and what they are doing, but this is completely below the belt.
Awesome site also, bundling high quality posts and articles in this tech/startup/design industry is really valuable to me
Dalton stated he will return all the money if he does not raise the full amount.
Now why do I have the feeling that there is going to be a annex to that statement in a few days? He'll probably figure something out that allows him to (be allowed to) keep the money raised.
Anyone tried this yet? The proposition looks valuable (at least for the one on the receiving end).
Belgium, probably nobody uses his credit card to buy coffee. We only use our credit card when we have absolutely no other option :)
It is a near impossible task for sure. I got to know them pretty recent, and by briefly checking out their UI and features, I really felt inclined to try it out.. too bad I never got in the beta.
I feel maybe they should have endured a little longer? At least launch or public beta, and take it from there?
It looks that they shut down primarily based on monetary reasons and not being able to raise a seed. Because they needed "proof of quite large user numbers and growth – something we couldn’t supply with our own money."
Can't wait till they come to Europe. We need this so much it's unbelievable. Payment over here absolutely sucks.
I am a designer first and a developer second. Sadly I can not relate with your statements at all. A web designer who has no clue what VCS is, does not think naming matters, hell still uses inline CSS, is a poor designer in this day and age.
how do you write such article without using screenshots :s
Agreed. We all end up naming our designs Index_01.psd, Index_01a.psd, .. anyway. I don't think commit messages are that important in design.
Always cool to know too is acceptance of H1B
I feel there is a distinct difference between a "startup" and anything software related that you sell
Like maddox said himself, he had never the intention of running a business, and that's okay, that's perfectly fine, but it's not a startup. I feel lately everything is labelled a startup, while a lot of things could be, it is just not the case as long as you don't treat it like one.
I think this is a great idea, so much potential, mainly in the community aspect.
If you mean the AirBnb news that's all over HN last day, leave it as is, it shows kind of the importance of a topic. It's big news, there should be many views/topics about it, it's logic.
Anyone interested in building this with me? I'm a intermediate Rails developer but pretty good at design and front-end stuff..
insane expensive, anyone has another source?
I laugh when people put a "make sure" in their entrepreneurial advice. Yours in particular.
I don't have figures to back it up, but Facebook in Belgium also feels like it's declining. Not necessary new users, that may be still even rising. But mainly active users becoming inactive. Im daring to bet that's declining big in Belgium.
I feel they offer an awful lot of weird gadgets for giving a certain amount of money.
I always felt there is something special about sharing food with others, it gives a sense of bonding rarely seen elsewhere. For building up a great company culture, food plays in my opinion a pretty big role on many layers.
+1, Cmon how can you kill someone for raising money, regardless of its whereabouts or accompanied false promises...
"A bit harsh", my god, get a grip
The alleged story behind all this:

I was just quoting the lead answer (by Chris McCoy) "Again, hackers currently rule the world. In reality, really good product and business focused people should."
I'm a longtime user, probably one of the first. This has proven to be a vast asset for me to track tv shows.
One negative point though is that since I've discovered this app my tv shows I follow probably increased threefold, which at times has had its consequences regarding productivity :p
God Startupcraft looks soo awesome, almost considering flying to USA to attend :P
