I just tried this, it is awesome! Gratz. and to think I was just about to launch into my very own weekend project for the same reasons :) Now I don't have to, keep up the good work.

One thing, I can't see an obvious way to become a premium member. I think you might get more conversions if it was way more obvious on the front page.

That is why I put it in quotes. They "can but wont" which translates to "We can't because insurance for men costs more because of the statistics [showing men have more claims therefore have to pay higher premiums]". Given that rule of thumb they will increase females premiums to make them equal.

Not only have I worked for insurance companies, but if I ran one, this is exactly what I would do if I was told everyone had to be treated equally. How can I charge men less if I know that they are going to make more claims?

Would it be wrong to point out that the missing parts of the source for w3fools.com ? Or observing that placement of things like the google analytics code at the bottom, instead of the head?

Or would that make me pedantic?

I think this is great. Sure it isn't for me but neither was the Million Dollar Home Page, but it's a nice modern version.

Ignore any negative feedback (unless constructive), haters will hate ;)

The way the MDHP got press attention was with a press release, would be worth having a look at for you I think. What bothered me about the MDHP was I felt it was a fraud, he posted about having massive university debts, then as soon as he made the million he quit uni and moved to a big city to invest the money. Which makes me feel it was a bit fraudulent.

Gratz!

I may be completely wrong on this, but didn't Google try something almost identical and eventually realised it just didn't work, or the user base wasn't ready for it and Wave-ed goodbye to it only recently?

I don't want to bring down your site, but if they couldn't make it profitable that says something to me.

However, I liked Wave, and wanted it to stay, so if you system is good I'd use it, but I wonder if enough people would?

(oh and the rotating comic, totally agree very annoying)

Even so, 140 Characters is still only enough to give you the chapter titles of the Joshua Bloch book Effective Java Programming.

My advice, buy the book, read the titles, then read the chapters (translates beyond Java imo).

In layman terms: The body requires ATP for power, it is the rawest energy base unit for your body and is produced from Carbohydrate.

Your body is a machine built for changing fat into carbohydrate and then into ATP.

If you give your body too much carbohydrate it takes what it needs and converts the rest into fat. The fat you eat is already fat, so it just stores that too because it has already taken the raw carbohydrate it needs.

If you reduce your carbohydrate intake and eat more protein and fat (read "red meat" but also chicken, pork, non root vegetables et cetera) then your body will stop being lazy and start doing what it did for thousands of years before we invented preservatives and microwaves and cocacola and take that fat and make it into carbohydrate.

If you give your body less carbohydrate then you are doing it a massive favour.

That said, everyone is as genetically different as they are similar, so what works for some people wont work for others. For instance, Doctors are currently researching a hormone that comes from your bowls that tells you that you need carbohydrates, like all hormones they can over produce and make you crave them even if you aren't hungry, and they are working on a blocker which will help the super obese and probably reduce the need for any gastric band surgery.

It looks good, nice to see real eCommerce exists (e.g. you pay something for a product, I was beginning to feel like everything was a service of a service).

One thing that really really puts me off web sites is if I can't tell shipping costs quickly and easily. Your site is good in that at least you don't have to register to see the total cost, but you do have to add a product and go to the cart to find out shipping. If your shipping is a flat $8.45, I'd suggest having that under a FAQ type area.

Also gift wrap options are good.

I'd be interested to know who you are hosting with. Is it a 3dCart or Shopify type or did you go solo?

Spend a 5th of your time doing your assignments the day you get them and then  spend the other 4/5ths working on projects that you do find challenging.

Although I comprehend the dream you don't have to be in California to be working on a start-up.
