I think you are right on the money here, friend. Whenever I'm purchasing something online, I'm always curious how that transaction will take place... sometimes so much as just "test purchasing" the item to see what will occur if I actually decide to buy.

I am right there with you. I am a little over half way through my 30th year of life. I have "wasted" a lot by having a ton of fun and enjoying myself, while also getting plenty done professionally. I am excited about the future, and also intrigued with this concept of another 30-50 years of productivity, but like you, sometimes I can accept a fate of being 'finished'. It's weird, but not in a morbid way, more like a, "I'm so blessed to have been able to do all this amazing stuff" kind of way.

Seems pretty neat. Sort of like a GWT for .Net. Except with the added benefit of being able to go into an intermediary form of TypeScript.

I see something like this really being beneficial when building a Single Page Application, or porting a Desktop Application to a SPA.

The Imp seems cool, but it's price point (when combined with the breakout board) is higher than a Raspberry Pi and Usb Wifi dongle. Not only is the price higher, the hardware isn't nearly as capable.

Hacking != Engineering

Yeah, I am pretty sure that Xamarin compiles down to Obj-C on the iPhone, but on Android it includes a VM in java that runs .net (mono).

I can't seem to justify writing tests. It is time consuming and cumbersome. I figure as long as I document reasonably well, and the design is straight forward there is no sense is wasting my time to write tests. I'd prefer to get something done instead of supposedly helping my future self(or my employers).

I think this is a pretty fun little quiz engine. I don't speak c++ very often, and was pleased to pass the medium difficulty with reasonable confidence. I looked for a difficult problem, but it looked too hard for me to care about thinking about it right now, but maybe one day.

I came here to say this. I don't understand why some of the development community likes to act like .Net doesn't exist....
