(For some reason, when I search the Internet for "streaming mapreduce," I don't get programs that do this real-time processing of lots of files as they get written. Instead, I seem to get batch-oriented mapreduce clones that happen to read from stdin, which is a stream.

I suppose this could be a good fit for Flink?

Working in a corporate environment, I have not found this to be the case. Good ideas get nowhere without buy-in
