Ironically, when I overclocked my system beyond it's limits, WinXP would crash on boot, but Win98 would boot just fine and (sometimes) crash later, during the game.

Many people think that viruses are as benign as common flu (influenza), or common cold (rhinoviruses), because that what they experienced themselves and parents and schools don't do a good job of explaining just how bad some diseases are. (To "protect" the children, perhaps?)

There are some viruses (like HIV) that insert themselves into our cell's DNA, and if they infect our reproductive cells, we pass them on to our children just like any other gene. It happened a lot in our evolution. ~10% of our ordinary human genome is made of viruses. Ancient viruses, no longer functional, but some of their genes we repurposed them and made them work for us instead. If you count transposons (not technically viruses, but they can/could move in and out of DNA, switch places, just like text cut-and-paste, taking with them nearby genes), then it's more like 50% of our DNA.
I was just noticing that there was a whole lot of work fixing these minor bugs, and then went all lazy writing the patch... Or maybe I was spoiled by decades of scene patches, cracks and tiny demos with chiptune music and funny graphics.

Lack of good parents and good education, role models, or maybe bad genes or birth hipoxia, etc. makes them who they are. No child will spontaneusly want to read boring history, rote learn multiplication tables when there's a calculator in the drawer, or write useless essays about something they're not interested in - in order to not be a useless turd. Someone else makes useful adults out of children that are universally born as useless turds.

It's as if the non-parent is responsible for the far future income of the state, especially in a state (USA) with no state-provided pensions; a state that doen't contribute anything back to the future non-parent compared to a future parent.

I already demonstrated that the only states that implemented it were totalitarian states. Are you in disagreement with this? Proportional taxation (fixed % of income) and even progressive taxation (higher % of income for higher income) is used everywhere, totalitarian state or otherwise. I'm not going to argue why that type of taxation is a good thing. Ask a LLM.

The rich have more disposable income. They won't feel 10%. A poor person is already at their limit. 10% will break them, so they'll have more kids and they'll be poor too. They will not contribute to future taxes. "useless turds" as you said - be careful what you wish for.

Not a recent version, not from the last 10 years at least. They dropped even 8/32MB devices. On my Turris Omnia, the bare system with nothing else running takes about 70MB RAM, mostly because of kernel size. Linux itself isn't as light as it used to be.
The best you can do is put DD-WRT on it. AFAIK, they still use kernel v2.6 on devices this old.
