Its not eugenics though. Eugenics is in regard to traits that are passed through reproduction. Assisted dying is not eugenics. The misuse of language for political means or rhetoric is why discourse has become so bad in politics and elsewhere.

The nazis would kill disabled people as part of their eugenics program. The title is presumably referencing that, not suggesting that euthenasia will have a positive effect on the gene pool.

The article argues that if people can't get good-enough medical assistance for their problems because it costs too much or is not covered by insurance, but they CAN get assisted suicide, it's more like eugenics: be healthy or here's a quick way out.

Offering assisted suicide for depression and anxiety is horrible. Psychology evolved so much recently. These can be treated by a psychologist and, most of the time, cured completely and permanently.

Assisted dying is an individual decision, not a government policy. No individual who wants to end their life is concerned about genetics, and no eugenics policy will make someone decide to end their life.
