I was curious and was able to build something very similar quickly using Gemini 3 via Google AI Studio. Never would have imagined a few years ago how easy some of this has become to prototype.

From the website, I feel sick reading that given the circumstances...

“ We're Geekbuilt™.

Developed by network and systems engineers who know what it takes to manage today's dynamic IT environments, SolarWinds has a deep connection to the IT community.

The result? IT management products that are effective, accessible, and easy to use.”

Is Twitter Down? 6 years ago

The only happy consequence is that it's probably driving a certain person nuts right now.

For a project that is about freedom of information they sure kept this vague. Why not share more details of why you had to fire people, what funding sources dried up, etc?

Really sorry to everyone who is out of work now :(, I wish I could do more then just give you some links and thoughts but hope this helps.

1. If you're looking to ramp-up your skills Pluralsight is giving away a free month of training this month: https://www.pluralsight.com/offer/2020/free-april-month

2. Large companies are still hiring I growth areas, I am not 100% sure but If I was a betting man anything at Google, Amazon or Microsoft that is cloud related is probably still booming to get people on board

3. If you wind up finding some work that is remote in this situation and don't have WFH experience check out this great set of tips for WFH by Scott Hanselman: https://www.hanselman.com/blog/LoveInATimeOfCoronaVirusTipsT...

On the topic of trusting domains, big companies are not helping themselves. Lets use a big financial company as an example.

I recently got an email from them to check on a transaction that settled, the domain was:

https://click.SOMECOMPANYNAMEHEREinvestments.com/? ...

Their real domain is SOMECOMPANYNAMEHERE.COM but as you see they made a special domain just for email clicks. I thought at first this was a scam email, but then tried clicking and sorted out that it redirects to the real site and login.

But man you can't even easily trust real emails if you're paying attention, i dont know how regular people will defend against stuff like this.
