The Republicans never brought forward any proposals for improvement but voted 40 times or so for repealing Obamacare. I don't think they have any plans other than letting the market fix itself and if you can't afford healthcare you just have to do without.
They are largely discredited, especially for pre-employment screenings. The polygraph exam is the last phase in the Special Agent hiring process, which can take up to a couple of years to complete. Several federal agencies still use it. I can't discuss what is asked, but you can walk out of the exam and know whether or not you told the truth - there is no ambiguity about the answers you give. That is why I am 100% certain it was a false positive.
I applied to the FBI, made it all the way through the hiring process and then failed the polygraph portion. It was 100% a false positive... Maybe they should look at utilizing a method other than the polygraph for assessing deception.
I don't work at Amazon, but I have caught on to what, to me, seems to be an unsettling concept. This may or may not be new, but the concept I am getting it is often referred to as "internal equity" - considering what salaries are already in place for similar positions.
This appears to be one of many variables HR uses for salary negotiations and I recognize that. I don't see why this necessarily matters for most work places. Shouldn't you just pay for what the candidate brings to the table (skills, experience, etc.) and not consider what, even someone with a similar background is currently making in the company. I suppose salary negotiations/the labor market isn't an efficient market where a price can be assigned given x, y, & z.

I have never felt pressure to "create". Has anyone outside of the SV/SF bubble felt pressure to create?
I was walking through TSA about a week ago and someone about 5 people in front of me was wearing a hijab, and of course they didn't have to take it off while I had to take off 2 of my layers and then be patted down. I wouldn't have had to do any of that if those same people who wear hijabs hadn't taken many American lives over the years. I'm pretty sure I have a right to have my well reasoned and justified prejudices. If nothing else, I am much more aware of my surroundings when I see someone wearing a hijab. This heightened awareness is simply my human nature taking over.
This is a great idea. I think you should also give a little better description of what will be included in the box. I probably would have bought it if I knew what brands were being delivered to me. For example I have been wanting to try Syntha-6, which I see is in your photo, but I have no idea if that is what I would be getting. This may be part of your business model.
