There is something elegant about a pure hydraulic system that when all power is gone it still connects my brake lever to a brake caliper - i like the mostly fail safe implications of that design. As an EE, an MCU that decides to not follow its input 100% of the time - when say a wire gets corroded, shorter or disconnected gives me pause when it comes to reliably halting my multi ton machine at speed.

I am thrilled that my type-ohs which I haven't been bothered to fix for years now positively indicate I am a human...... PERFECT.

Moved to nordic nRF52840 based system (RAK) because of the 9mA average draw to run Meshtastic for LoRa radio at 900mhz. Longest link so far from flat land is about 40 miles. Moving up the mountain to see what improved line of site can do.

Nordic chip is super impressive and power efficient compared to ESP32

I live in an urban environment and one day when i got the lawn mower out of the shed felt some resistance. A regular 5hp gas powered push mower usually rolls ok but on this day it was stuck. After wrestling it out of the shed i started to turn it over to see what the hangup was and low and behold a small skunk walks out and strolls away. I was a little worried i was going to get sprayed, but also super excited about seing a skunk. It did not spray.

The link is one of the batteries im using in a project for home power wall. You are correct, 100+ volts, and 1000+amps and fire if things go wrong is no joke. Im EE so doesnt make me fire proof but can appreciate the scope of the safety measures required for the project.

If you try to measure CO2 usage, be aware of the fineprint in your sensor, depending on the sensor it may just take the lowest reading over some period and self calibrate (incorrectly) as normal air CO2 concentration (~400ppm)

<https://www.extech.com/products/CO240>

Automatic CO2 Baseline Calibration (ABC) The ABC algorithm continually tracks the sensor’s lowest reading over a fixed time interval and slowly corrects for any long-term drift (as compared to the expected fresh air value of 400ppm). The ABC period is 15 days, during which the ABC function default is always on.

Nice bait - you pull me out of lurker mode to respond. I remember most jobs I have had that were paid - including that one kelly temp services job I had that I drove 1.5 hours out into the middle of no where to stand on the start of a one way bridge with a stop sign on a pole and wear a hard hat in the hot sun to 'help' direct truck traffic to a quarry. I was only there 4 hours, but still remember why I was so determined to complete an education.
