Running Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 on the deck gets around 30-45 fps with some lag spikes on low settings. Streaming from my 5700xt I can get 90fps ultra. It's massively better to stream from even this old GPU than to play locally.

Cloud based tools are even worse than proprietary file formats for lock in.

I've been trying regularly for a few years now but it still doesn't work for me. Steam remote play often refuses to launch a game, it'll open on my desktop but the stream won't start. Then when it does, sometimes it's totally fine, sometimes it lags out incredibly bad despite being over ethernet.

Sunshine/Moonlight kind of works and in the desktop it works fine but when I open a game the display scales wrong on my client device despite looking fine on the host.

I've been streaming from an RX5700 XT which is something like 20x more powerful than my steam deck I'm trying to stream to.

I've had it work occasionally. I had a few sessions which worked flawlessly which proves it's entirely possible for it to work, but 90% of the time I'm hit with endless weird issues, configuration problems, breaking changes in updates.

There are some people who it seems to be working for, but I think it still needs a lot more work to iron out all of the issues.

The problem is you will develop an incomplete understanding, using a ton of weird workflows, and missing tools that are super useful that you didn't know existed.

Just pushing through one end to end tutorial will introduce all the main concepts than asking gemini for bits and pieces won't get. It's not as satisfying as doing your own project but pushing through at least one of them is well worth it.

IMO it’s probably better to start following at least one tutorial video which will walk you through most of the common actions and UI.

Maybe I’m not pushing them hard enough but I use Claude opus at work and deepseek v4 flash at home and they both seem about as capable. While deepseek is borderline free.

If you use AI to remove the rust and calcium on the taps that is something you can inspect and prove was modified in a misleading way.

The whole point of staging furniture is to help visualize and contextualize. Seeing a staged bed, couch, coffee table etc gives you a picture of how large or cramped the room is. AI furniture in contrast isn't limited by physics or reality and does not assist in showing the size of a room. It's only purpose is to deceive the viewer.

Android phones sure. The iPhone as far as I have seen has stayed away from gimmicks and AI. "Computational photography" is a long shot away from AI generated images. Everything in the iphone photo actually existed much the same as the photo shows, it's just exposure and color being messed with.

If you use post editing tools like magic eraser and the new reframe / expand tools then that's a different story and shouldn't be allowed in real estate photography.

It’s less that 4k 60fps doesn’t matter, but that most mobile cheap cameras are so poor quality that you don’t see much of a difference. The sensors are so small that switching to 60fps leaves less time for the shutter speed so you end up with a noisy image.

On a good camera the difference is stark.

Ideally for good lighting you do want multiple lower power lights than a single mini sun
