They need to humble down and understand they are just a brokerage ad firm for the internet, billons of dollars worth do.

I think the model its pretty good, one of the most effective ways of advertising is the internet.

But I think Google will grow weaker everyday because of competition (But that can take more than 20 years).

IMHO the fact that Yahoo had missed so bad on web ads is one of the biggest failures in business history.

I think is a great idea if you can manage the cellphone-scanner thing, then the possibilities are endless.

Moral of the story: It is much easier to make money on subscriptions than by ads.

Cool idea, just need a slogan or short description, I think try to make the ads more elegant or leave them for inner pages.

You mean the users of such a startup are not the target for any market? I would think there are more profitable profiles than others but i would think anyone has to buy something.

A big difference in the freemium model may be if you sell directly the advertising. I feel that sometimes 3rd party ad suppliers may be getting a much bigger slice of the cake than the webmaster himself.

Freemium model seems very fragile unless you achieve enough visitors to sell directly the ads.

Otherwise you really have to get a lot of visitors to make decent money.
