It's impossible to believe any forecast, nobody fessed up after 2016 nor did they explain why their models are wrong or attempt to update them. You're less than 24 hours away from the permanent death of the political polling and forecasting industry in the USA.

Nate's already coping really hard on Twitter.

If you are a home brewer or even just interested, Patrick McGovern's book Ancient Brews: Rediscovered and Re-created is a must-read, he re-creates a number of beers and alcoholic beverages some of which have gone into production from the Dogfish Head people. The original recipes were analyzed from residue and remains on potsherds and historical accounts, then he provides a home brewer's guide at the end of each chapter so you can make something at least quite close to the brew at home.

Yes of course. Back in the mid to late 2000's there was another big hack, known then as the "Manchurian Microchip" hack, which resulted in Chinese penetration of many US national security projects including the F-22. It's very difficult to find good information about this anymore, thanks to a raft of fiction produced with the same name "coincidentally" around the same time.

This is the true answer. Nobody benefits from replacing x.org except large companies. I for one have already switched my day to day operations over to OpenBSD, as I've seen too much strange corporate agitation propaganda trying to get us to relinquish the things that make Linux great - C, X11, native non-containerized applications, and so on.

I refuse.

Slam dunk for Apple. Arguments about the environment aside, seems like a breach of contract, open shut.

Also if people cared about the environment they wouldn't be using a phone with a glued-in battery in the first place. So check your phone (if you even have one, phones are so 2015) and your privilege.

You can tell this is going to happen because we're being softened up for it. First the what-ifs and apologetics, next will come more substantial rumors, then a big speech by Nadella.
