I don't understand what is your point.

a) bribing is more probable, happened by foreign country here this Sunday

b) it's a lot more dangerous for the entire society, it's not a vandal in your home, if anonymity is not implemented by voting process, then the local gang leader will force you (and all your neighbors) to vote for him, at the date he will tell you and you won't be able to do anything as he will be in power after these elections and will make possible to fake future elections.

Usually bribers will want some proof, like a photo of your vote, when you go inside and there are election observers and you're not allowed to use your phone it's more difficult to provide that proof.

Have you actually talked with any truck drivers? Are you sure they want it?

Most deaths are not truck drivers, but drivers of cars who enter in collisions with trucks. And truck drivers would like to make more money in shorter periods of time and not spend this time resting someplace away from home.

I hope autopilots will replace truck drivers soon.

I agree with you, because we have similar use cases, but desktop gaming is still almost totally windows dependent. So I think games will keep Windows afloat for a while.

Quote from the article:

"Very few researchers study or even teach sulphur chemistry anymore," said Nazar. "It's ironic we had to look so far back in the literature to understand something that may so radically change our future."

I wonder if is there a structured database of scientific material to address such research?

I'm one of the authors, we want to use the same learning system to learn other things, like foreign language words, if you have any ideas where we can use it feel free to tell us.

We're still working to improve it and we strive to achieve levels were you could upload some useful data into your brain by playing fun games.

Kids of that age group (who learn times table) play other violent games so to keep up we had to do something similar. My son helped us with ideas for this game and he learned times table with it.

Ask HN: Idea Sunday 12 years ago

For anti-censorship I would suggest considering technologies like: Ethereum, Storj, MaidSafe which are also for now just ideas.

As a user of an off grid solar system I would like to replace my lead batteries with your compressed air solution, even with efficiency of less than 70% it will work for my needs, because with larger capacity I will be able to collect a lot of energy during summer and use it during cloudy winter.

Also I think you should consider doing a MVP (minimal viable product) with less efficiency but fully functional (as I understood from your blog you're struggling now with improving efficiency) and test it in real life, I think there are a lot of off the grid users in US who would like to test it, because real usage is very different than testing it in lab. You'll be able to test a lot of hardware components and be prepared for larger adoption.

As an active user of silicon-based solar in self sustained home I would say that we need a more efficient and cheap battery technology. By cheap I mean cost/cycles, current lead acid batteries offer less than 1000 cycles considering 30% usage, improving number of cycles 10 fold and usage to 100% would be great.

Even in community (free, open source) edition you can use the Haxe plugin, which will allow you to work with latest (3.0) Haxe version.

I think that having an internal cryptocurrency, like bitcoin would improve the system. For example it would allow me to mine some coins by sharing my 2Tb HDD for 2 months and then have a place to backup my 100Gb of data for one or two years without worrying that my node will be down and my backed up data will be deleted from the network. What do you think?
