A problem I see is that what someone may consider to be AI-generated actually isn't. And the AI checkers aren't reliable enough to definitely enough say something is AI-generated.

I've used whereby in the past on a free account, I've found it easy enough for anyone to use. I stopped using them because they now limit free accounts to 30 minute meetings.

I've realized not to bet on any social media.

For example, pre-Elon Twitter, I thought Twitter was going to around a long time and I would continue to use it for many years. I left Twitter when Elon bought it.

While I'm on various social media sites now, I can fairly easily pick up a new one as I see fit. And if my audience doesn't want to follow me there, they don't have to. And I can find different people to follow on that new one.

You never know what is going to happen.

I think society has evolved to the point where people want to make as much money as possible, so instead of shareware the person creating it charges money.

I think part of the reason for not caring is that our bosses put unrealistic deadlines on us and force us to get this work done. Going up the ladder, the pressure is put on by the board that wants more profits and all in the short-term.

YouTube does offer RSS feeds for each channel, you just need the channel id.

If you use any Block products (including Tidal), make sure to do as much as you can to cost the company more than you pay.

My goal for this year is to cost Tidal / Block at least 2x of what I pay for it (so if I pay $100, make them pay $200).

In my honest opinion, I think the correct response is to stop using anything that dansup makes until he realizes he has to give up some of the control, or the project stops being developed.

While it's nice if people want to help take some pressure off, it only works if the main developer (dansup in this case) is willing to accept that help. And based off the link I gave, and some of the comments here, it doesn't look like dansup is willing to accept help.

I believe when someone says "talk to people" they mean ask them what they currently love and hate about a competitor (to understand what makes yours different and how to attract people), and to gather some users / customers to understand what can be made better (as nothing is perfect at the beginning).

It's worth keeping in mind that Loops is made by dansup which has also made and runs Pixelfed, FediDB, and has a history of being hostile to developers.

Radio stations realized they could make more money by having less DJs, or by having one DJ cover a bigger area.

It's not just YouTube Live, DJs moved to Tiktok and other live stream platforms.

I know I listen to less radio because I pay for a music streaming service that allows me to listen to exactly what I want, with no ads, and pays the artist more.

I'm just waiting until it's cheaper for companies to hire humans than to pay AI to do what's needed. It will come, or I believe there will be a day AI is no more.
