The Voyager team sent commands over the weekend for the spacecraft to restart the flight data system, but no usable data has come back yet, according to NASA.

I like how their attempted solution is to restart it

Just remember when foraging for wild edibles (including dandelions) to avoid areas that have been treated with pesticides, or where dogs may have peed. Avoid golf courses and train tracks and old farms.

Dandelions are pretty prolific but I would also be mindful of abundance when foraging other plants. If there is only one or a few of them around, don't take it. There's a 1-in-20 rule for this.

There are a ton of books, YouTube videos, and probably some in person classes in your area on this stuff.

I leave the TV on during the day, mostly for the noise, but I like to hear some news too.

It's been driving me crazy that they are CONSTANTLY advertising all sorts of drugs, constantly filling my ears with unimaginable signs and symptoms.

Is it just me? Is there anything that can be done about this?

Most of these drugs you wouldn't need to know about unless you had a very serious and specific condition. In which case, your doctor should be the one to tell you about it, or at least a google search. But why do I have to hear about horrible diseases while I'm trying to de-stress? It's insidious.

That dump used to stink somewhere between pine sol (I think they used to try and cover up the smell with something?) and rotting trash. And it is right in the middle of the island so any time you had to drive anywhere on the highway you passed it and got to enjoy the smell.

I would never set foot on that land, god only knows what horrible toxic stuff has been dumped there.

I've been watching my neighborhood birds for a while now and they indeed have individual personalities. It's pretty cool to know for example when a neighborhood cat is approaching, how it's approaching (stalking or walking?), and even which cat it is all because the birds communicate it to each other.

If you're interested in diving deeper into this bird world, I'd recommend starting with "What the Robin Knows" by Jon Young https://www.amazon.com/What-Robin-Knows-Secrets-Natural/dp/0...

Jon still does a lot of programs and workshops and research and it can be a fascinating rabbit hole to dive into.

Maybe some 15 years ago I had a job interview. It went well and I was asked to meet the co-founders at a downtown bar. Being dressed rather casually I asked if it was appropriate attire for the bar. I was told "Actually, one of the reasons I want to hire you is because you look like what I would expect a computer geek to look like." (I'm paraphrasing, it was a long time...)
