I'm no expert on this, but I also read about this as I also tried calorie restriction.
You still have to keep your macros (and micros) in balance while on calorie deficit, which is even harder. Your body needs various things, you just need to optimize your food. Also, I think the main contributor for OPs issues was the fat deficit, which is very easy to fall into while you think you eat healthy a lean food. Fat is important for your hormone production.

Thank you! I was searching for this the whole morning!
1 and 2 kind of contradict themselves (or compliment, based on how much DRY we allow)... You want to make that abstraction when you need to have a single source of truth.
Also, the argument for 2 isn't very clear, it could be interpreted like the author doesn't understand inheritance.
I think several watch makers started to do something similar, but not sure if I would trust their software. However, Garmin has good health tracking features and they offer them in an analogue way with their vivomove line: https://www.garmin.com/en-IE/p/742133/pn/010-02566-00
iirc Mate mentioned in an interview that they don't get offended about the "English" pronunciation.
As any other automaker on the international market... being it Porsche, Volkswagen, Mazda, etc..
I think this still seems trivial with a 5th grade algebra knowledge.
Additionally, for the 4k+1 / 4k-1 topic, it is just a complicated way of saying 2k+1 (as parent suggested).

I fully agree, this is my favorite write up on how a git commit messages should look like: https://cbea.ms/git-commit/
Just the four letters D U N E, which are exactly the same shape but rotated 90 degrees.
This is what they went with for the movie posters too: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/8e/Dune_%282021_... ...although, they cheated a bit with the E.

2) A lot of times something like this is how you form some new regulations - it's truly one of those "You know, this was excellent but we can't do it again" situations.
I don't watch Nascar, but as from comments from other places, there is nothing new with it. It has been known and attempted by others now and then [1]. It is a high risk high reward move and this time it turned out good.
If it wasn't regulated so far, I don't think it will be.

How does a company change to a new/better connector, if it's required by law to use an old connector?
EU is pushing for "One charger for all" for a long time. Here is an article from 2011 [1], so this is nothing new. I don't think they enforced it at the time, but the manufacturers (and the EU?) agreed to use Micro USB. Now they are going for USB-C, so they definitely are not in the way of innovation. I think if there is an agreement between manufacturers to support a new standard, it will be adapted.

It might be only my bubble (of non-tech-savvy people), but recently I started to use QR code to share my WiFi and there was never such friction you described. I don't do it with a printed out image, but my phone has an option to share the WiFi via QR code. Also, modern phones have a direct button from the WiFi connection screen to directly scan a QR and connect to WiFi... This is a thing... and it's easier to use it as typing `ShinyTortoise78`...
> Ursula von der Leyen was not elected by EU citizens
But was she not elected by EU members of parliment, who were elected by EU citizens?
This is a common argument when criticizing the EU, but in the end everybody is elected by the people of EU (directly or indirectly). Here is a quick video explaining how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4Uu5eyN6VU
What about Asket in EU?
The best is how it is 11AM -> 12PM -> 1PM -> 2PM and then again 11PM -> 12AM -> 1AM -> 2AM
Maybe it was not called "Responsive layout", but it was a thing since 2004: https://www.themaninblue.com/writing/perspective/2004/09/21/
Flash was as bad as Java Applets. They both tried to solve problems that couldn't be done with standard web technologies at the time. They both needed extra plugins so they could work... while everything else just works in the browsers. They have no place in web development.
+ this, that Unihertz Titan in the list is a chunky one, because of the qwerty keyboard but small screen with 153.6x 92.5x 16.65 mm dimensions...
+ better display (higher refresh rate), + better battery (it lasts me 3 days on average), + better CPU/more RAM, + one more camera
I wouldn't agree that it is a terrible value (but I might be biased, because I have it). I think the 4a has a great value, but you wouldn't get the extras you get cheaper anywhere else.
And I don't mind the missing headphone jack. Also, I just have my one and only USB port covered, so I am on full wireless mode with it.
I asked this question so many times. For a long a time I was a big fan of the Xperia Z Compact line... Now, Sony also stopped making these smaller phones...
I switched to Pixel 5 recently. I am happy with it, the main reason I wanted/liked the smaller phones so I could reach everything with my thumb and I could use the phone with one hand.
The advantage of Pixel 5 (and other newer phones) is that they are very thin, so it is easier to hold in one hand. The other thing that just got introduced with Android 12 is the one-handed mode, that I use a lot. With these two things in mind I have to say, I don't mind the size of the phone.
Just fyi, Pixel 5 is nearly identical in size to Pixel 4a. (144.7 x 70.4 x 8 mm vs 144 x 69.4 x 8.2 mm )
...it has better hardware, but no headphone jack and nearly twice the price.
The older infrastructure is paid for and maintenance on it has a lower cost,
If it had lower cost, then it would be priced lower. Energy costs for new hardware are much lower.

I would love Firefox Sync too, but a lot of times it just doesn't send the tab I wanted (I always fallback to checking what is open on my other browser).
I haven't seen Firefox asking me about an update for ages. It just does it in the background and on next start-up it is updated.
But is it faster? And does it actually work?
I might be unlucky, but I can't count on my two hands how many times did my 2019 MacBook Pro become unresponsive (and occasionally it restarted itself... After being unresponsive for 10 minutes). It's a work laptop and there is some admin software on it (afaik), so that might influence my experience... But after a year of use, I still sometimes feel the need to defenestrate it...
My favorite bit is that after a restart sometimes it gives me a screen where I can't change the keyboard layout.. and I can't type my password because of the special characters I use. So, I just restart again and hope I get a login screen with the keyboard layout change possible. (And yes I have changed the default layout multiple times, but it always switches back to some other default)
It doesn't have to be something digital... We could move owning real life objects to NFT contracts. Like owning a car would be tracked on the blockchain and there is no paperwork needed about it.
