I think you are going to run into a lot of anxiety about data loss. I did find the recovery code and peer to peer sync notes, which help.

Most people are not going to think through where to store an encrypted folder on a share so that there is a backup. If you are targeting just tech forward users that's probably okay, but for larger usage, you might think about full disaster recovery case where a computer and phone are both lost, as well as how to make it easy on where a copy is always stored or sync'd so users don't have to worry.

Great point. So often I hear people talk about Apple as the hallmark of usability, but the reality is other systems do a great job too.

This is a good example of thinking through the user's intention and accessibility states. We need to capture clear user intent first, then decide on the UX behavior. Changes like these help all users.

Great point. As we use agents to write and summarize responses, we need to treat the source content as a prompt injection surface.

I'm building a weather app, so this hits close to home.

We talk about satellites as connectivity infrastructure, but I had not considered the impact to the night sky. I wonder if there are solutions like satellites posted further away around the moon with fewer relay satellites shared around the earth?

I definitely see local models as the future.

Part of the challenge is that the RAM overhead is still high, so it takes pretty expensive devices to run a strong local setup. That said, I see the path. Individuals and companies will want local compute not only to save model costs, but also for privacy, offline work, and custom tools and harnesses.

My guess is hybrid will be the default for a while.

Licensing models for any IP is real, but I don't see how they could restrict people running what they want on their devices. It is already well established that you have to pay for software unless it is free.

If this is about PC manufacturers making the NPU chip carry a subscription model, well the market will sort that out.

The leader never made the hard choice about who the product was for and what problem actually needed to be solved. A smaller product that works well for a market is usually better than one that is trying to solve for everything.
