We are in the modern age, why can't 7AM be defined by when the sun rises in our county, and auto adjust our clocks each day based on changes in sunrise and sunset?

While we are at it, let's also set 7pm to be when the sun sets! We just need all clocks to simply adjust by lengthen and contracting time units as needed! Sounds simple to me.

This is how Japanese time used to work. The hours would be longer in the summer and shorter in the winter. Good for roughly arranging local schedules when you only have relatively basic timekeeping.

Time is an illusion, and mostly group-think. On a more philosophical bent, we are living in infinity, only we don't know it because our minds can't comprehend infinity, and many would go mad to think there are parallel universes where all possibilities are entertained.
